i had to reinstall the game today also said the same thing failed to start please reinstall. i tried restoring all the files from my external backup and nothing worked untill i literally removed it and then reinstalled it a fresh

This is fixed, download the installer and reinstall, there was an update this morning that fixed the issue....

This problem has been fixed... We reverted a decision to move to a newer version of our C++ compiler which was the root cause of all the problems with updating.

Any who, I copied DS off my PC and put it on your laptop so don't bother downloading again you just have to log on and update to the latest version when you get home.
