I've searched high and low for a scrap of information on how the Revolution that takes place on planets works and how it can be started, controlled and most important how it can be stopped.

Any one able to add some information about this revolution system on planets, because I'm clueless at the moment.

Regards,

Wild Cat

It dont like to be bombed, scrapin infs, food hunger etc

A good way to stop it is to have more food then population

As far as I know, once a planet has "revolution" flags set all you can do is wait and pray it won't turn neutral. It's caused by sub-optimal living circumstances (lack of food, lack of energy and lack of workers, so I hear, but mostly the first), and the way to solve it is... difficult.

I've seen planets revolt even though they were completely fixed planets after a plague hit, so I don't quite think it's possible to combat revolution other than disabling defences and just bomb the heck out of the dissenters if/when the planet switches allegiances.

A planet seems to be much more likely to revolt after plague hits and worker shortages result in power plants going down, which shuts down food, which kills more people.....if you manage to catch a planet as soon as plague hits disable all the non-essential structures like defenses and barracks until it stabilizes and hope nobody comes along and caps it in the meantime.

One time UGTO and ICC were fighting for a planet. Both factions were constantly dropping infantry onto the planet.

Whilst the planet was maxed at 64. It revolted and took both sides infantry with it. Almost like they went "why the hell are we fighting each other" and stopped.

Was a little 'lol' moment.

I think i remember being able to stop revolution of planets before,

if i remember it, i did this...

1. stop all structures by turning it on, once it was turn off randomly.
2. Orbiting the planet with my ships.
3. Maximizing the production of the planet by ways of keeping all population of the planet working.
4. Putting resources into the planet.

that was years ago, haven't tried it in awhile though..

Read the Manual anyone? if u cant get the answer outa that baby idk whats wrong wit yah

"8.11 Morale and Revolts
One of the most easily overlooked, yet most significant statistics in the F3 window's stats list is Morale. If, for any reason, a Planet's Morale is low enough, it can revolt to neutral, necessitating the recapture of the planet by whomever can get to it first. As such, it is important both while building and while rebuilding to manage the planet so that you do not upset the population. Any of the following can affect morale:
o The recent capture of a planet will result in an uneasy population.
o The orbital bombardment of a planet will cause mass fear, lowering morale.
o Lack of food with which to meet the population's needs will cause anger.
o The over-scrapping of troops, producing more population than a planet can hold, hence killing off the extra population, rapidly reduces morale.

If morale is low, population can usually be appeased by extra food production, ensuring quality life without hardship on the planet.

If the morale remains low enough for a long period of time, the planet may revolt and revert to Neutral control, and will have to be recaptured. "

"Revolution" will disappear, and only disappear when Morale is HIGH. If the morale is low for a long time, it will revolt. More food doesn't change the fact.

If a planet is under "revolution", the best way is to deactivate the sensors, so that if it revolt you can easily cap it back.

Or, more risky, take all infs from the planets and deactivate barracks so that you can rush it after the revolution. I wonder a planet without infs won't revolt.

The first thing I thought when I saw this topic was, "Why would you want to stop a planet from turning?"
