How do you... bomb a planet? |

Well there are several ways of bombing a planet. The 3 main ones are...
Fighter Bombing
Cloud Bombing
And ECM Bombing
How to Fighter Bomb
1) Get a ship that has fighters. I.e, Stations, Command Dreads (Preferably)
2) If you do not have Bombers fitted already swap the fighters for bombers.
3) Jump to about 1.5k-3k from Planet.
4) Select a target.
5) Press N. And you are bombing.
How to Cloud Bomb
1) Get a ship with bombs. Bomber Frigates, Bomber Scout or Bomber Cruiser, Command Dreads.
2) Fitting the situation... either have Neutron Bombers OR MiRV Bombs. For Luth it would be Bio Bombers or TeleKinetic Bombs.
3) Get to about 1k from planet.
4) Select a Target and press b. Select another 1 and press b. And carry on doing so till you get a Cloud of Bombs
How to ECM Bomb
1) Get in one of the Bombers
2) TEll someone to get a scout
3) Go to a planet.
4) 500 gu away
5) Start bombing under ECM.

you didnt add that because our internet sucks apparently, bombs and fighters only work 50% of the time.

Hey Val, why tell the advanced methods of bombing? Just tell em to go to a nothing-too-special potatorock, select a way-too-common diamond and launch tiny rocket explosives with B. Don't tell them the things that should be understood by experience 
(Yes, I learnt cloud and ecm bombing by myself, and they should too. Experience is needed to adapt to your enemy's torture.)

Oh yes. And bombing works 50% of the time. Cuz of the Servers Sucky Connection. -Grabs ModWhip 3000- Oh crap I have to run! The MOD DOGS ARE AT THE DOOR AHHHH!

never had trouble bombing, always worked for me, sometime stheres a slight delay between bomb hits and damage thou XD
and i tought Cloud bombing was to fly at same speed of bomb and spam at each buildings?

Cloudbomb:
1) get a bomber
2) get a scanner or another ship near the planet-to-be-bombed
3) move to a place ~2k gu away
4) accelerate your ship to ~17gu/s (depends on bombs -> some are faster, some are slower)
5) once inside bombing-range (luth ~1.5k gu / icc 1.8k i think) target enemy targets on the planet and mash your bombing key(s)
6) "keep up with your bombs"
7) stop before you plow into the planet
8 ) nearly all bombs hit the planet at the same time
additional notes:
- get ECM-devices on your ship to cover your bombs while theyre flying
- distract enemy defence lasers by being a target on front of the planet
- if the planet have some heavy surface-defences, fly faster and dodge its counter fire while dropping your bombs
- unmodded-cloudbombing is nearly impossible for dreads (they need enh to reach 18gu/s)
- you can assign a hotkey for each bomb-gadget to hit multiple structures at the same time
pro:
- almost impossible for defence bases to shoot down all bombs
- "it looks great"
- you can defend your bombs till they hit
con:
- a single icc-pulse-wave can kill all your ammo
