Or, perhaps, considerations can be made that the developers don't yet know how to ameliorate the problem, or they do not presently perceive an egregious error either due to not seeing it as a problem, or never having been informed to its status as a problem.
Let's keep this thread clean from staff bashing, shall we? I know they can be difficult to deal with at times, but they work because they love this game, and it can be rather demoralising to have complaints about you every day, all day.

Well, lately the devs are starting to pick up the habit of pretending to ignore problems, but actually fix them behind the scenes. At least its an improvement. [ This Message was edited by: Leopard on 2010-05-30 07:13 ]

True, Maybe i'm being unfair. But i'd hate to see a problem like this getting to the point of some of the others in the past.

mhmm
to be fair, as i tried to say earlier, there is a matter of perspective. but this is what ive experienced from flying in scenario and in MV. i think a luth player stating outright that he could solo a station from 100% should be cause for concern though.

Well instead of a luth player just about destroying a station what about a ugto player almost destroying a luth station.
Happened a couple weeks ago, my fully enh ead spawned at a gate, than a luth hive spawned there full enh, firing from both ensued... hive jumped with 40% or less hull and I was still at 90% plus with full rear and about 50% armor on both sides.
I.e if his jd wasnt up he woulda been a perfect dinner plate
And a good ad pilot can successfully take out a ss ugto station. But the biggest factor I stated was "GOOD".

I see what he was doing now.
Yeah over time he probably would kill you if:
1. you stick around
2. You dont get help
3. refer to 1 or 2.
Its got a nice alpha, and if he is using energy rechargers ( I misunderstood what he was doing before) then he has up to 3x the amount of alpha energy as normal. That is assuming a dread carries 6 cargo, thus allowing up to 6 refills x 50% per refill. Thats a lot of nasty damage. I dont know that you could single handedly take that much and live - especially if u arent near a planet for assistance.
A Kluth Hive would collapse llike a cheap Chinese lawnchair.
A ss? I dunno.
If you were to use this tactic in your AD, I wouldnt wanna be in the Hive. A nest would most likely go fastest with even less reloads.
So yeah, I believe it could be a valid tactic for you Lark.

So what's the solution here?
Remove the Energy Recharger ENH from the games, so SS'es won't die from a single dread?
How about we remove the JD Recharger enhancement too, so SS'es cannot jump in, destroy a ship, and then surreptiously refill his JD and escape once he gets jumped by 5 dreads?
Hell, why don't we remove all enhancements......??
Heh...

The solution is to shut the hell up.

The only problem i have had with ICC Station vs Kluth,. is that the ICC stations does next to no damage when the kluth is underneath him.
A ugto station easily pawn a Kluth dread when he is under him.,. and icc station can not. whether it be Line or SS,..
UGTO used to do as much damage to themselves as to the kluth dread because of splash. now this isn't the case.
