This is to do with a bit of a strange bug; the server won't register you as turning if you're sitting in orbit, so your weapons won't fire properly.

Current solution is to de-orbit before you turn around.

This happened to me b4, maybe it has something to do with your missile ammo that constantly reloads when your orbiting a planet..eversince i knew about it i never attacked any enemy while im orbiting planets (unless i dont notice )

It's the same the problem as when people WH round planets and the WH comes out dangerously close to the planet.

I had this problem too, orbit a planet head on, turned fired and my missles sailed into the planet.

They were talking about this in another thread, for some reason the game doesn't register that you are turning while in orbit. Break orbit, turn, then fire.

It's not just when you're in orbit of a planet; it's any time you're sitting stationary--your speed at 0.0--and you rotate in place. The game doesn't properly register the rotation, so it still thinks you're facing the direction you were when you stopped. If you move forward even a little bit, it will update your facing.

I ask again though, when did this start happening and why? This never used to be a problem, but I've been getting it when using wormholes.
