if you fly carfully, you wont get one-shotted by dreads
lasers do almost no dmg at 250gu, and if you get this close to a dread, you should be repairing another dread, which should be between you and the enemy one
and bullets / missles can be dodged at >250gu

You will never see a supply dread. That would just proliferate Dread Space... You want supply, pick a supply ship.

I miss putting cannons on my engiee and being able to ward off frigates and sometimes dessys when I was building a planet. Oh those were the days.
Still a Supply Cruiser would be a nice improvement to the supply system. A bridge so to speak between the S42A and the Support Station. All 3 factions could get one but would be preferable that ICC get one first. After all ICC has the hull already, and the guppy just got decommissioned, doesn't mean it can't be re-purposed for something else.

I never understood the change to be honest. Few people really used the Gang then. i know, I was one of very few. I had never ver ever even once heard anyone complain about it's strength (which it did not have for a dread).
In its place we got a human missle spammer and a bomber dread. Id give them both back for my old gang.
Until a few weeks ago when I took one out for an experimental run, the Gang was never even seen in the mv. The Brood? May as well be extinct. To the point where we know we have a noob on our hands when we see a Brood. Everyone points and snickers like you have a split in your pants.
Two worthless ships for the price of one good utility ship.
