I'm not sure if anyone else is afflicted by this issue, but here we go.
I'm a bit of a "Big Buyer" of these enhancments, Definatly worth the time and money for them. I was trying to buy the defense enhancments and I tried to skip a step and click the "Buy" button without clicking what to buy. I guess the game didn't agree with that purchase, Because it suffers from a fatal error and completely freezes. After that you'll need to go into task manager and end the process to get it to unfreeze.
I hope brining this issue to light will help in it's being resolved quickly, It's not a real problem if avoided. But it is a little annoying.

Confirmed same problem here but additional information.
I am able to buy only one Enhancement at a time before having to launch and redock to buy another sometimes i can get two but it will normally freeze on the second buy.
