So heads up guys that I've updated the subscription system to be able to give "Credits" now.
We will be adding "Buy Now" buttons as well, so if you don't want a subscription for your credits, you'll be able to buy them when you want very soon.
PLEASE NOTE - THERE IS NO WAY TO SPEND CREDITS IN-GAME YET! We are adding the ability to buy enhancements at the star-ports in-game, but this is still in development.
So far, the plan is for all enhancements you will be able to buy will also be available as drops from other ships. However, I can't promise this will always be true in the future. We will see how things go with the micro-payment route and make adjustments as necessary.
If you had a subscription previously, you will notice that your account has already been credited with 1,000 credits per $1 you've paid for your subscriptions.

I have one question though, will credits be transferable between players? like the prior version of credits.

let me just confirm something here,
your saying that if i was unsubbed at the time it went free, will i still get credits for previous subscriptions ive had over the years?

Correct, if you paid Palestar $40 anytime between today and 2001 when we released, you should see 40,000 credits in your profile.

The credit system was actually just recently re-introduced, It was removed a while back due to being completely useless with the new modification system, they were just brought back to serve a whole new purpose, and are basically a completely diferant statistic, Just has the same name as the old stat.  Hope this helps.

Not yet, as of now the system is being worked on, keep in mind this is essentially an economy that is being created here, it is a very sensitive system that needs to be carefully implemented, and may take time.

similar to the way you youst to get them./building/killing/Repairing/ and so forth.

No, credits can only be attained via donating or purchasing them.

i believe it will be possible to gain credits by selling enhancements dropped from other ships, perhaps selling resources. Atleast thats what i heard draf say.
