Just a reminder this post is about the ICC ION Cannon and its abilities or lack of. This post is not about kluth stations or ships and missles from any faction have nothing to do with the ION Cannon.rn

Comparing the ion cannon (a long range projectile) against a HCL (A short range beam weapon) is like comparing apples to oranges :/

I like oranges better...rnrnBut in all seriousness, If you swapped out all the rails on the HC for Ion Cannons, I wonder if there would be a noticable difference in damage output.

rnrn...rnrnOf course there would... Railguns are cannons, Ion Cannon is a core weapon.rnrnThat's like saying "If I threw a planet at you, instead of a marble, would hurt more?".rn

We know IC sucks couse we use them every day.rnrn_____HCL should not out preform a core wep regardless of the condition.. expecialy when the tgt was 25% resistant to energy damage... rn

HCL outperforms many core weapons at close range.rnrnI think the SI may be the only exception if conditions are right (due to random damage).

im not UGTO or KLuth so im asking out..rnrnif you guys are willing ill bring my supply ship to your stations for test.. altho the results will be slightly scewd now couse damage resistance has been tweeked... Fire one core wepon on me.. and afterwords fire one assult class laser weapon... all at 75GU.. we shall repeat the test 3 times each tor compair.
