I got the game to work under Wine , albiet laggy, with several Directx linux ports installed about two years ago.

Regardless there are several programs out there that allow Windows programs and games to run under Linux and Mac. Therefore no need for us to expend additional resources we do not have to support independent builds for thos OS's.
