This has already been posted by others but whenever i click on a planet it jumps automatically.
it says orbitting planet once i press esc to normal screen (from nav screen "F2 screen"). this happens alot.. and by now i'm used to correcting it.. but its there and it happens to me ALOT..
maybe "o" button is perma pressed on my keyboard.. i dunno.

I have seen something like this, but not in a while. heck i can't recall a single one happening since 1.5
Pressing a command once didn't worked but clicking any new target coased the command to be passed on that, and any following target that will be selected.
(scrap structure, was one of those)

Just a side question do you have desync issue's?

I don't *think* I have desync issues..
It is like my O key is constantly pressed ingame..
if onlly i could capture the button mash that follows when i realize i'm about to launch at a particular planet (especially when that line is red)..

I cannot recreate it now i'm trying

I see it with engineering and planet stuff but never with a jumpdrive so here's my question: Are you pressing 'O' to orbit a planet or clicking the orbit button?

No. This is an old bug going back to at least a latter patch of 1.482. Yes, I have seen it a few times, but it was a couple months back. I may have posted about it then. Only saw it return a few times and then it was gone again.

This is semi repeatable. Semi, because if it happens to you, it happens to you. If it doesnt it doesnt. If it does, you will be in F2 screen, looking at various planets. Without any chat notification, for some reason, you dart off to go orbit a planet, even when u didnt choose to.

No, it isnt desynch. No it isn't accidently hitting buttons. It's a strange annomaly. A ghost in the machine.

Actually, now that I think about it, it happened to me a few weeks ago. I was looking at the r33 system from Okag. When I came out of the F2 screen, never realizing it, I had somehow set orbit to some planet in R33, and had even used the jumpgate to get there. I remember that because I dont remember "orbit" function using the jumpgates before. I always remember it would fly you in a straight line to that planet in another system, barring any objects to be avoided, on sublight after the jd is empty.

Always hated that.

So when I saw that...anyways, that's how I just remembered it happening.

But it IS a bug. An OLD bug that pops up from time to time.

1. We need to make sure that system notifications are working while in F2 screen, such as align jump, jump active, and orbit.

2. Be quick to come in and out of f2 screen when u are having the problem. Do it in between each view until u are confident the bug is not happening at that time.

Good luck, and be careful looking at enemy planets in the F2 screen while injured lol.
