well, at the moment i'm looking in to the ICC cruisers.

So, the border cruiser.
Most of us have probaly flown once, then put it away and deleted it.
well, lets start;

Pro

Awesome at pinging K'luth
Has fighters in a combat-capable ship
Can be used for fighting and fighter-bombing
If used correctly is a amazing scout

Con

When stock cant even go at full speed with nothing on(except shields) without losing energy
Vulnerable
Weak in layout
Fighters fail at their intended job

I have a special thing for this ship, but thats just me. and if there is a combat situation, i am usualy very quick to grab a HC.
when i have found it usefull at is scouting enemy positions (the HUGE sensor package for a cruiser) and also for tracking enemy ships if they are lazy and Shift-J(once again, the HUGE sensor package)

Another role it can be used in is as a escort for carriers that are bombing, as the 2 slots can be fitted out with bombers(the more bombers the better)
Also, allthough rarely done, it can be used to assist carriers in fighter spamming(witch is REALY fun)

Well, all in all, its a ship that has many obscure roles.
Sadly, these roles are alot of the time non-essential, or dont require a specialised ship. The Border Cruiser is a great example of a specialised ICC cruiser; not very good at combat or that beefy, but great at its job. as far as i am concerned, its the only type in its class.

It's main downfall is lack of combat ability, as most ships are used for combat!

Anyway, other people can say the rest.

ya that is my thoughts exactly. it is just on the Border of being usefull. it could realy kick some ars at close range but then all of are enemies are far better at close range combat so doing so would be stuped. i think all it needs is to be one rank lower, one more generator, and one more long range gun in the front. and this ship would rule.
