it is not a jack of all trades. the missiles fail at their job.

i dont know i like the missiles expecally when changed for sobots. which is what i used in the fleet war even thought the plan was not to. : ) now a ship that is just lacking potential is the ((Border Crusier)) now maybe if the rank to get it was 2nd RA it might be worth something

It'll only get full potential when you work with missile fleet.
Few missiles never work without missile fleet.

the 2 forward 1 aft missles are useless for ship to ship PD easily takes them out and the damage they do is like 1% at best if they hit, but the HC needs instead are these. Either combo would be good I.E. 1 beacon and 2 more torps or electronic device for scanning and detecting ships, or adding several more rail guns facing forward since it only has the 2 heavey and 1 reg rail gun to fight head on. And turning and angleing your ship to hopefully get 4 guns to fire on a ship that is shooting at you with most of thier guns firing on you is stupide and leaving your aft open for prolonged damage or is that the Idea with the present set upbecause we have 3 guns facing aft for some reason?

rear missile is rear/starboard/left; turn from fore to left/starboard and you exploit most guns.

the two heavy rail guns im told are just like two reg guns.. that being said.. it has 5 forward firing guns
several lasers.. and in my case two racks of sabots!!.. great damage indeed [ This Message was edited by: FaTaL Defiance on 2009-11-22 12:41 ]

Keep it as is.. If you want a heavier cruiser, get VA rank and grab the Assault Cruiser. Exchange the missiles for guns and the HC just becomes a weak AC.

@ viskel... no
you complete...... (must not say that word)!!!
the AC is for CLOSE IN only. it works nbest against luth. it has NO GUNS.
the HC on the other hand, is designed ti range with its guns, but it has some close in capability if needed

If AC is close-in, and you don't want the HC to be, why get rid of its long-range missiles?
You can't have it both ways.

Cause the AC is an EXTREME close in. Look at its loadout, torps and lasers can only hit at very close range, ~125gu.
The HC on the other hand, if my opponent is closer than 300gu, I've done something wrong.
I would much rather trade the IT's for some railguns.

you forget or maybe you just dont know ....that missles are the only weps that are responsible for the arc bug.... no matter where they hit the target ships rear gets hit like if it was the only target to hit and that helps bring enemy ships down
