Well, considering it wasn't lost by a server side error or bug, I don't think theres anything the staff can do. Next time be careful and look at what you're scrapping.

Tommas has the right idea a "Are you sure you wish to delete" would be handy.

Advanced Drone
Advanced Supply
They look alike.
In the garage you only see advanced on the ship icon.
If you have something selected in your garage such as enhancements, and you want to discard them, make sure you do not have a ship selected. It will delete the items selected and the ship sometimes. This has happened to me.
And there have been multiple requests over the years for a ship delete confirmation command. Would it be possible to PLEASE PLEASE get one?

That said, if staff can't help him, Wolf Squadron will.

I think it's also a matter of the precedent it sets. I mean, even if staff thinks, "Well, it's a small thing and we can just give him back the ship", if they do so, others will think, "Well if I make an accidental mistake, I can just have the staff clean up for me". Their requests can be even sillier.

Max, I hate to say it, but I think it's lost to the ages. I personally would not want the precident set of giving back craft accidently removed so I would vote you not getting it back at this point because of the current guidelines.

WITH THAT SAID, I fully agree that we need a confirmation on removing ships from storage and I can use an existing precident to prove this is not something that should continue without being changed. That precident is simpley removing Enhancements, ejecting cargo and accessing a shipyard. Of these things, they all require a second click to confirm, yet these things are minor and can be undone (for the most part) so why would something so perminent and altering to the game such as removing your ship from storage, be allowed a single, unconfirmed click.

LASTLY and most important; Max, as Az said, all is not lost. I would be honored to assist you in rebuilding your craft as it was before.

I was thinking about making it take two presses to scrap the ship and having it send a message (like self destruct) asking if you are sure to press the button again. I'll ask the other staff and look into it.

Okay I've added the confirm to the removal of anything in the shipyard screen, it should be in beta by tomorrow.
