No, less, actually. Each Tuner gives you 0.18gu/s more speed in a dread. In a station it would only be 0.06gu/s because of the modifier.
Assuming I have the right number, it'd be 1.3gu/s for a scout, just for comparison.

Right, but your not denying that it's still a waste, and thus, pointless at this point in time?

Can someone break down the math on this.
When I play games and I see "Speed boost 2%", I assume it increases my speed (maximum speed) by 2%.
If it is reduced by a factor to achieve balance, I expect the game to indicate that... in other words, when I acquire that boost, it should reflect the proper percentage based on the ship I'm in....

Ok got a question about the upcoming "balanced enhancements". Lets say i pick up a tuner wit 9% boost and negative 4% armor, will it actually be 9% boost or will it cutdown like it does currently and actually be less gain than the lost armor.
Also if these new enchantments are a ways off i like the one idea thrown out there already and thats just double the current boost.

As well as mass, which is native, armor boosts could possibly get an additional penalty to help further balance them. Shields, meanwhile, would get an energy maintenance increase.
These would probably NOT be based on the proposed system for weapons, and instead use a customized set of mechanics. As for speed increases, we can try to balance these by either reducing armor or hull HP by a certain amount.
