From what I was told the game needs lots of error-checking code which is a lot of work. But it's also absolutely 100% necessary. In fact it should be the #1 top priority, as without it the game becomes unplayable for a vast majority of the playerbase, and it is afterall the reason for the desync issues.
If it were up to me to set priorities (it isn't, I know that), I would order a suspension of every other project and fix until the desync problem is corrected with error-checking code. It really is that important.

Well good. At least they know where the problem lies, hopefully. Telling us that it is on our end and expecting us to fix something that is far beyond our capabilities isn't going to get us anywhere.

Faustus just pushed a lot of sync (a lot) fixes. I originally thought it might have something to do with dropped UDP packets not firing off the drop-back to TCP, but seems I was wrong.
Anyway, tell us if you still see desync issues.

my uneduacted guess from previous experince would be that it just wasnt showing up on your Pres screen but still being logged to DS servers just a guess for Ex. ive ranked up while still needing 50 pres before the server knew i ranked up displayed the maessge but i had to wait a little bit before it showed up on my end in ship select or pres Screen its realy not a problem a litttle patience cant fix i dont believe ur Pres is being lost
