Hello newcomer.

you have probaly been in the MV for a look by now as ICC, and find that those K'luth dreads are Big Badboys. well, ever thought you could damage them? well you can. wat you do:
1. Get a sensor corvette(M-21A).
2. swap the AR's for SABOT rockets
3. swap the IE for a PFE (optional)
4. Swap the shields for Active shields(optional, not recommended unless PFE drive)
5. Swap the ECCM for scanners or ECM(optional)

Ok, so you've swapped the stuff around. now, find some combat between dreads.
so, you've found a siphon facing towards a friendly Ausalt Dreadnaught.
wat you do:

1. Jump directly behind the siphon at a distance(400GU is great)
2. keep on his rear! if you dont, KABOOM.
3. get just into range of your torps and sabots, and fire everything.
4. do a quick turn away at about 90 degrees.
5. hold that course for a brief moment then curl back around onto his aft.
6. repat steps 3,4 and 5.
7. continue untill you've done your damage/distracted him.

You may be wondering after reading other peoples comments on small ships, If im out of my mind. Well im not. ive tried this on siphons fighting CD's and AD's and it works nicely. dont be confused about the insults some players give to small ships; they work as long as you use tactics.

So, i've covered K'luth. but UGTO? different story.

same re-equipting.

now UGTO require more caution.of course, they can fire in allmost any direction. you may want to keep further away, but apply similar tactics. remember, if beamed, turn away imediatly to minimise the damage. you might find that you cant use your torpedo's without getting beamed. dont worry though, everything else is there
also, be carefull with the particle cannons. they generaly fire in big groups that come in waves.they can be dodged - and they should be.

anyway, that concludes this article.

On a side note new comers.

beware that a Siphon is not always on its own.
with the Cloaking device, they friends can sneak up behind you without even notcing them.

Please don't mind rob, the fact that he replied to your message at all definitely shows that either you or your post has merit. I'm not sure which, but maybe he will elaborate. And just so you know, the only higher privelige as great as being quoted by rob is being touched by rogue spear.

The chance of even hulling a dread in a corvette is very very slim, only possibility to even gain a small amount of "Ship Damaged" is if it already is hulled & distracted with something else.

So being a new guy, the best way is to skip the battle in the first ranks and keep building/supping/bombing.
