Heheh, i think i've just found the solution to the Ugto Station fleet problem. I've moded my MD will all Psi missiles. Reduces the range a bit, but double's the output of fire power. and all of it under ECM cover.

Just give me 3MD's with the same mod. and we'll have:

20 slots X 2 missiles each X 3MD = 120 missiles per solvo.

btw, psi missiles are undetectable. ^_^

FYI - I'm not ignoring this thread or the event preparation as far as the event list goes.. I'm just concerned about Scientia's role. Much as Bardiche expressed some reservations about how Scientia is described and used (in general), I rather like it having a unique place and role in the galaxy and thus am wary about how its used in events.

The issue is under discussion in the private event forum; once we figure out the best way to handle the event, I'll get something added.


Update: I added a general event item just so people are aware and hopefully a bit more involvement can be managed; once we figure out the backstory issues, I'll update the event item as appropriate.

Let me know if you want me to add links to other threads or somesuch; I notice there are some different recruitment threads.

my bad shig if i wouldhave known about any kind of concern about Scientias Roll i would not have planned the event this way. Infact i only chose scientia because it has been the meeting place for many other events this one can take place on any planet. also I only planned the battle itself, the story came from deltaflyer not saying u should blame him, the story sounded pretty good, to me, i will however talk to you first about anymore events so there is no more concern weather we talk in a private room, PMs, /send, or if i can join the event staff planning forum and we talk there any way will work for me. I am excited to be contributing more to darkspace then 10 bucks a month so i will work with ya.

Also if u could link those recruiting threads in the event page that'd be cool

and if u would like to edit my first post on this thread changing the story to fit scientia i wouldnt object.

Oh its not a problem.. and I'd much rather have you make events that don't quite jive with what I like than not make any at all or delay good ideas because I don't like some small facet of them.

That's why I put it on the list just without much of a description; I want SOMETHING to happen.. there's just a few small details I want to clarify or change first.

But don't worry, we'll get with you soon to sort it out. Sorry for the continued delay.

With the turnout im hoping for i think that desync and lag will be quite the botheration but hey maybe the servers are just getting cold and old maybe when we have more people on they'll warm up and work fine (after all the duelathon tournament we had at 1 point 36 people in the MV and i myself didnt notice any kind of lag to my surprise)

yeah, i was kinda suprised too last week. I guess the worst lagg i've ever had with during a R33 momerial with 50+ player all in one place. but last week's duelason relatively little lagg to speak off. I hope this happens to this week as well.

As too Sensations' concern, of course i would reconsider if it turns out the lagg from missiles becomes too horrendous. That would be a danger to the MD group as well.

However, from what limited tests Fire and Point and i have conducted, the residual lag from combined missile solvos of 3 MD ( not all psi, I admitt) seems negligable. Besides, i think lag only really becomes a issue from the targeting diamonds from each missile, but the ugto won't see the psi >_<

Also, Sensation, for big event's like sunday, it may help the lag issue to reduce the explosion and missile trail details in Client. Setup in the GCQL folder.

about that, psi missiles can be seen by friendly forces always and if uggies have 1 eccm they will se psi missiles as well.
