He was screaming in agony, a wailing cry that shook the walls. His brain was frying just from a touch and he was slipping in and out of consiousness. Saturnshadow wailed as a hunger entered his mind, a simple hunger, more revolting than any other hunger he had felt. It was more that a desire for love or for food, it was such a base hunger that he nearly vomited. Slowly, like a grave robber in a tomb, the hunger began to sift through his mind, relentlessly. Saturnshadow cried, he was in so much pain and agony that he wanted to die. Plain and simple. The hunger processed this thought and discarded it, leaving it behind. Saturnshadow knew what it was doing even in his terrible state. He began to cry even more as he realised that it was trying to find human's weaknesses. He began to smash his head against the wall of the strange cell in which he was being kept. He damaged his brain so much that he began to act dumbly, still reacting to the pain but less so. He did it again and fell to the floor. The robots advanced and took him to the airlock.
The last thing he saw was a robotic face. Then he was sucked into the vacuum of space, the infinite haystack in which he was now the needle...

lol ok, everyone can die. it will eb like a stephen King story.
and one more thing, where did the kluth go...? they ok we will help and now they no where to be seen? kinda left the uggires high and dry.

As the crew of the Ingrus looked on, the mandiable uncloaked and fired a volley at the gleaming metal of the star shaped MIR ship. This was followed by a massive distortion in space as 13 k'luth dreadnaughts and 2 kluth stations faded into view and pounded the hull of the ship. The holes being made in ships hull auto-repaired as robots crawled into positon and clamped to the the innards. It wasnt enough firepower yet though. Not until a new set of slipspace contacts were discovered. Not until the projectiles sturck metal. Not until the gleaming glory of the ICC, the Tiberious launched itself into battle followed closely by 2 assault cruisers in formation. Hailing frequencies were coded and an alliance forged, unlikely as it was.
The star began to split in the middle. Splitting into 5 separate triangles. The fire intensified. More beams lashing out at the defenders. More debris created and more life lost. The Assault dread tiberious took a direct hit to its front. The first shot was absorbed by the shields. The second, however, jetted though the remainder of the front shields and tore the front of the ship apart, the scarred metal screeching and screaming as it was melted and discarded in space. The 5 triangles suddenly began to move, the jumped in such a way that they encircled the planet. Each one was now facing the planet at 400gu away. The typical blue lining of the ships turned red. A small opening appeared at the point of each triangle. The opening glowed red as the fire intensified even more. 5 large laser dots appeared on the surface of Fale. Targets...

An eternity had passed since that first contact with the star. The legion battle and the hours of brutish defense that had followed. The people of Fale were tired, weary and scared. The massive red dots on the planets surface began to sink into the ground, several meters a second. within 4 minutes, the 5 targets had sunken to 8.4 kilometers below the surface of the the planet. The planet was becoming deformed and was crumbling. The UGTO ships were still pounding the now triangle-shaped ships. Torpedos causing great gashes in the hull only for the beams to cut them down. Hulled ship corpses were free-floating in the melee' of the battle and it was devastating.
The fighting falcon interceptor squadron was pounding the hull of the second triangle. It was to the arbitary 'north' of the planet when the entire rear of it seemed to come apart. That was until the dozens more enemy contacts appeared and raced for the UGTO. Until the lead pilot saw the glowing pulses of outgoing weapons fire tearing through metal and hull, leaving both robotic and organic corpses floating, creating debris in the battle.
Josef's mind was ablaze with thought as he ordered the falcons to break up and attack indepentantly. As soon as he said this, he hit the booster and shot forward into a dive, coming up into a loop-de-loop, he thumbed the firing studs and tore an enemy fighter in half before racing past the blaze of wreckage. Bringing his fighter to bear, all he saw infront of him was a cloud.
A cloud of metal.
He bellowed a fierce cry of stubborness and thumbed his firing stud again and again. Everytime he fired, he hit until his last manuver, a quick right turn brought him into the point-def zone of the legion triangle. How he whipped and weaved through the beams until he saw the firing point, the point from which the target point originated. He set his last missle to fire. Jetting away on a cloud of smoke the missle impacted and the results were spectacular. The explosion fried his control systems but as josef stared in wonder, he realised he had done wrong. The hulk of metal that was the mir ship fired up its engines and made a beeline for the surface of Fale. The other ships following suit. They were diving into the holes they had created. Ponit first they would split the world apart! The evacuation ships had managed to lift 3 billion of the inhabitants off of the planet. 7 billion remained.
As the ships passed into the 30-kilometer deep holes, they shuddered and released sonic booms. Seconds before impact, a small ship took off with another 500 people onboard. Many men, women and children were onboard. One of the children, a newborn was crying with fear. It blinked and cleared its eyes. It howled relentlessly for the next 50 seconds.
The 5 ships collided simultaniously. Fale was destroyed. The massive asteroids were flung into space, several hundred gu per second. The capital of the UGTO was destroyed. The humans were crushed.

23 years later, a large man accepted his initiation into the brotherhood of the Fallians. He was given command of a large but somewhat old vessel. The old UGTO elite assault dread salvaged from the wreckage at Fale's debris cloud. A worthy adversary for many enemies of the brotherhood, it had been repaired and used by the faction for the past 4 years. It had been salvaged when the debris field around Fale's dead core had lessened and was able to travel through. Little did the young man know, he was to play an improtant part in the events to come.
