"Run, crewman!" The captain yelled after the young ensign. "Go! Now!"

The crewman ran out of the bridge door just as searing hot plasma spewed out of it, burning his flesh and scalding his organs. He was dead instantly.

Suddenly a metal object appeared, it was shaped like a human in that it had a head, two legs and two arms but the similarities ended there.

It let out a screech and aimed it's arm at the captain of the UGTO dreadnaught, the Illusion. It fired and caught the captains head. He brought a hand up to his wound only to discover he had lost half his face. With a scream rising in his throat, the robot fired again. Ending his life with a shot to the head.

****************

On Fale, the new UGTO high senate was faced with a 2 sided battle. They had to fight the robots who had been hellbent on extermination for 3 years now and also the collapsing society, which had devolved into a deranged mob. As reports came in of the Illusion's downfall reached the senate, a deicision was made. Rather a hasty one, but one that was a last grab for humanity.

A single UGTO fighter was approaching Procyon 11, the gas giant, when suddenly, an organic ship appeared in front of him. Rather than fire at him like it would have done 3 years ago it opened a 'door' in its superstructure, letting him in. The pilot was known as Josef to his collegues. A cautious yet freindly operative of the UGTO high senate. He was well known for his ruthless ways behind the cockpit of an I-18 Interceptor and his abilities also.

He was greeted by 3 of the mysterious and secretive aliens known as the K'luth. He was escorted to their bridge and was witness to the organic insides of the ship. It was a strange mish mash of colours: Oranges and reds making up the majority.

He was told to stand in front of a podium whilst a light came on, probably filtered in from a nearby star, he thought.

"What is your buisness here, ally?" Growled the being in front of him.

"I am Josef, a messenger from the Human UGTO senate. I bring news of an invasion by the legion and-"

"The Legion? Those robots?"

"Yes, sir. Robotic entitied hellbent on the extinction of all organic life and they have found us again."

"And why do we need to hear this? We fear the MIR, we do not fight it."

"Well, there was an old human expression on earth, you face your fears. We helped you when the Legion invaded sirius and tried to destroy Sag Hotha, we are now in need of your help."

"I will need time to confer with the K'luth tribal council. Please wait whilst I do so."

With that, Josef was escorted from the podium to a waiting room of sorts. He waited only a short while before he was taken back to the podium.

"The K'luth tribal council has agreed to help humans in the fight against the MIR."

"Thank you. I shall refer this to the senate."

Josef walked back to his craft with decidedly higher thoughts of the k'luth than before he had docked.

Will continue through the week-end. Just laying the grounds here. Enjoy!

Nice ground work for another epic story. Make sure you put some more plot twists in it like you did with the last one, LOL.

The news was glorious.

The UGTO high senate finally had a reason to celebrate. The robots would now have to fight two enemies rather than one. Suddenly, a scrambled report came in from the UGTO scout known as the Persistant. It's garbled messege said:
"Slipspace rupture has opened, 4000 gu away from fale. Something's coming through! Oh no! No please no oh my-"

The sound of static had never been a worse one and the mood had gone from jubilant to depressed in less than 5 seconds.

***************

Shar gor tel'ak, the leader of the k'luth body known as a mandiable, was nervous. 20 years before his command, on a distant planet however many galxies away, he had been an ensign on duty when the invasion began. The wormhole in the sky began to spit metal ships at the defensive perimeter around Erit'antri 2 when he had been on planet. Powerless to do anything he had to run, he had to hide. Defying all his beliefs and insulting his family. He sought revenge when the first colony ships picked people up off the planet, when Sag Hotha was found he prayed that he could find and kill robots.

He wanted revenge. Steeling himself, he ordered the mandiable to head for the location of the recent Mir invasion. A small planet called Fale...

****************

The UGTO station called the Pandemic was co-ordinating the defensive grid. The UGTO had quickly commissined 4 frigates to start laying emp mines in a hope that it would weaken the ships. The Mir ships didnt attack. Instead they simply waited as more of them poured through the wormhole. They were all facing the station. Fearing that any long-range shots would pre-empt an attack the UGTO high senate ordered the ships to hold fire until they started moving and got to 2000gu.

The UGTO Torpedo cruiser, the courageous took the first position, on the edge of the minefield. Several dreadnaughts and cruisers joined it on its flanks. The battle would be joined soon. The commander, a courageous and feared officer would be the leader of the courageous. His name was Leonide.

I will add more on later but right now im too tired.

Suddenly on Leonide's viewscreen, he saw a massive flash of light. He ran to the bridge.

"Status report!"

"Normal sir! However the Wormhole just increased in size to a diameter of roughly 240 gu!"

"What? It must be terribly unstable!"

"Its as stable as a rock, sir."

"Damn, notify the high senate that something big is coming through."

"Aye, sir!"

Leonide turned to his palmscreen. The Wormhole was indeed alot bigger than it had been. Big enough, even, to swallow a planet. He watched the menacing ships with growing dread as their blue outer skin began to deepen into a navy blue. Then, a pointed metal spike began to edge out of the Wormhole. Slowly it came into view. Another flash and the Wormhole was now double the size again. It's energy beginning to spin it out. Still the spike came through. This went on for 3 hours as the crew watched with growing dread as a massive star-shaped ship edged through the wormhole. It's 5 spikes each making up a massive prong with could probably go right through a planet. It was the very definition of massive.

And it was advancing.

Slowly but surely, the legion of metal warriors began to advance towards the gathered UGTO forces. Knowing that they were going to attack, every ship began to fire their cannons at the ships. Blast after blast of white hot plasma protrouding from the ships and making a beeline for the legion. The torpedo cruisers, under the command of Leonide and led by the courageous Jumped to point blank range and began to pelt the ships, unrelenting bursts of hellfire sent legion cruisers skittering away, damaged and drained. The large ship still remained, however. Torpedo after torpedo struck it's hull and didnt do anything. Suddenly, a beam akin to that of a lightning storm lanced out from one of the points on the ship and cut a swathe through the courageous. Tearing it's port nacell off and destroying its IE drives.

The other torpedo cruisers, scared of coming to the same fate as the courageous ran back to the dreadnaughts. The ship reached 1700 gu away from Fale and was now beng pelted by Quantum singularity torpedos from the 5 elite assault dreadnaughts around Fale. One of which was Saturnshadow's. Thoughts raced through the officer's mind as he pondered his dream. Still clear in his head even though it was 3 years ago. He had little time to wonder why he had seen that prophetic vision, however, as the monster of metal closed on them. Blotting out the sun and putting the planet of Fale into darkness. Missle bases began to launch missle after missle at the invading ship and the nuke's pounded its hull, a vain attempt to slow its unrelenting and ruthless march towards Fale.

you want more? wait 3 hours and you got it

The missles were having an effect! The bottom right spike of the ship was beginning to tear and twist when the worst news came.

They were out of missles.

All the UGTO ships jumped into close range and began to pelt the spike with their cannons and lasers and torpedos, still having little to no effect even on the affected part. Another beam lashed out and caught an unwary supplys ship, severing its fuel reactor in half and destroying it in seconds. Still the firepower didnt relent. The UGTO were desparate not to let fale fall. They would fight to the last man to defend themselves.

The ship was still advancing. Slowly but surely, the distance between the ship and the planet was minute now, a matter of minutes until it was in range of the beams. Surely the 70 HCL's which made up the defense would cut the ship to shreds.

Suddenly, out of the now-collapsing wormhole came a large ship, not on the scale of the super-ship which was by now only 700gu from the planets surface. It was made up of blue metal and was now heading for the battle. It jumped, faster than any other ship and was now face to face with one of the EAD's. The EAD under the command of a man named saturnshadow. Suddenly, the comms officer yelled across the bridge:
"Sir! We are being hailed by the robot ship!"

"Put it onto the screen, ensign."

"Aye, sir"

The view screen came up and the captain stood up. He was open-mouthed, aghast with wonder and fear.

The thing standing in the middle of the robot vessel was him.

I will write more and finish this either tommorrow or mid-week. Depends on my time distribution.

Enjoy!

The figure in the viewscreen blinked and was streching its mouth. Almost as if it was getting used to being human. Suddenly, a pulse of light strobed around the real Saturnshadow as he just disappeared. The crew went mad. Then someone shouted,
"There he is!"
"Where?"
"In the viewscreen!"

Everybody looked to the screen and saw the real saturnshadow, contained within a pulse of light, on the robot ship. He yelled to them before collapsing in pain. His head felt like it was going to explode. Another pulse of light and saturnshadow was on the bridge, seemingly unharmed.

He ordered for a quantum singularity torpedo to be fired from his controls and he activated his manual override for the the targeting computer. He aimed carefully, far more precise than any computer and fired. There was a resounding thud throughout the ship as the torpedo struck the new robot ship's bow. Exploding and tearing it to shreds. The crew began to celebrate before one of them noticed Saturnshadow slumped in his chair, unmoving. Ensign Crim, the medical officer, ran over to him and checked his pulse. He looked to the others and shook his head.

Suddenly, the top of his head began to swell as if something was trying to get out, angular impressions formed as his skull was shattered and he shook like he was possessed. He climbed out of the chair, blinking as if nothing had happened, suddenly a spider came out of his head. A robotic one. It was shot to pieces immedietly but not before it shot a tiny little probe at the ship's helm. The now-possessed saturnshadow grunted and looked at ensign crim. He stretched out an arm and screeched. Firing a pulse of plasma, it melted the poor ensign's brain instatly before succumbing to a hail of bullets from the security officers.

*******************

Onboard the robotic ship, the real saturnshadow writhed as robot's scanned his mind. Reading his thoughts. Taunting him and killing him. His life looked at its end...
