As anyone who's used them knows, the EWAS fighters are basically useless at the moment, but give them a one shot beacon and you've got a fighter that's actually semi usefull against the Kluth. Another Thing that would be amazing usefull for bomber raids would be to give them some ecm instead of eccm and have them be able to fly to planets while you remained out of sensor range, you'd be able to know if one side of the planet was covered in defense bases and the other side was empty BEFORE you got hit by lasers.

I like your beacon idea. except perhaps maybe take the beacons off of all other ships, and leave the beaconing limited to a carrier w/special fighters. launch 4 fighters at a time, and put a beacon cap at 1 per enemy ship.

Current function of the Recon fighters are already good they just need to work.

What i am more concerned about is what to give the upcomming (don't think in 1.5) K'Luth version. a beacon might be a good suggestion.

As for ECM, that might be a nice idea but i can see a whole swarm of fighters around a bomber/station/group. a mobile ECM fort, god people are going to love that.

try launching the buggers at yourself, with that you setup an ECCM field around you that doesnt require power to run.
