i wonder why we even bother using AFE engines they have no use
bear with me

if we condisder IE being standard then with this representation:

IE speed = / power =
PFE speed - / power +
AFE speed - / power -

what is then the point of AFE if on both ends AFE sucks totaly.
nobody is ever gonna choose em so its a totally useless engine type.
might as well throw it away

in my opion AFE should then be
AFE speed + / power -

to keep things in ballance then

Eledore here.

Origionally the where the engines that almost could not be knocked out.
But today i think that there is no difference between the engines requirements to be knocked out.

I hope that this will be looked at again and System dammage will be re-evaluated back to how it was in the past.
You do dammage from the right side, right side systems gets knocked out first, etc.

Back to the engines, AFE in theorie should give less energy and less speed than the newer drives.
Today human tech no longer has the option of choosing the AME so it won't have its speed drive no more. but i agree when looking at the human drives avalable i would say the AFE is useless untill its status as "un-knockable" is back.

If what I was told is correct, AFE has high acceleration/durabilty, but less power and top speed.

I would, like however, for an offical statement on it to be released with a comparison for all drives.

Yeah, there are two additional variables, acceleration and durability. I suppose most people don't care about those too much, but that's why we have the extra engines - to round out all the various options.

I don't have data though.

AFE should be the speed engine, because it won't make any sense if the human factions don't have a speed engine.

Yes it does.

ICC = defencive faction, so we've given their drives more HP so they dont get knocked out.
