added some extra planets to sirius and CD to balance out the number of planets in sol, courtasey of fattierob, who was the only one that acutally entered

At my quick count
Sirius has 27 habitable and 3 non-habitable
CD has 23 habitable and 3 non-habitable
Sol has 29 habitable and 2 non habitable (excluding phobes/demos)
Maybe add in another 4 planet Cluster to CD (on the right side. I think I had another cluster over there) to bring it up a bit.

i believe shig changed a lot of names in procyon and lacaille, but those changes have not been put in in the beta mv.

Would it be possible to make a Jumpgate have '13 inf' slot? its not bombable. only way to capture it would be to drop infs onto it.
being said ten, so it would take more then one person to be able to capture the jump gate.
when its being invaded it would give a distress sig like our planets would?. it would give people time to back up the jump gate.

This gave me an idea. What if you had to control both ends of a jump gate in order to go back and forth? For example:
- If you control Gate A, you can go through it to Gate B, but you cannot fly through Gate B to go back because it is controlled by another faction.
- If you control both gates, you can go back and forth freely
To do this, make jump gates controllable based on who controls a system, which would make it more desirable to control central systems instead of skipping. This would help make it so that people don't rush straight to home systems. But, I'm not sure if this would be possible according to Shig's "all or nothing" statement...
I feel like this would encourage more teamwork with long jumps into systems as well as a variety of ships including bombers/combat/supply.

To clarify, the all or nothing statement refers to the current system of gates; without doing any code changes (just map edits) we could get one-way gates, so that you have to WH or long jump into whatever systems don't have incoming links.
Having gates ownable and directional based on ownership of it and its link sounds better, but requires changes. Not to say it won't happen, it just means I can't go do it right now.

I still feel that home systems should be one way just to keep them away from the first targets, which has been a consistent problem in all versions.
