Anny one rememberd this Yearly event ?
Can't remember the date but afther some digging it should be between 17th and 23rd of March? (or is it?)
So far NO event has been posted this year and those dates are comming up NEXT WEEK !!!!
If the origional Event crew are not avalable, i think i can try to plan somthing together with the staff.

Why dont you type up the story about it for those new players. I think lots of people would participate if they knew what it was about. I will.

For those that are new
R33 was in fact the first FA GTN in Darkspace....he has kind...awesome, and made people laugh he died of a Brain Anurism (SP) on march 19th 2003
in my opinion he was a fair UGTO pilot and a very good friend to anyone who opened up their hearts to him
R.I.P R33 
(PS) if Everyone who knew him would put (R33) at the end of their names to honor him this year that would be good....

wow that sucks that he died but if he was this loved and remembered on a online game, I can only assume he had many more friends and family who cared for him offline, and that he therefore lived a good and full life. I didnt know him obviously but will be happy to participate in any event for him.

FYI, we haven't forgotten.
Me, Pete and J will try and get together and do something like we always do.
Remember, the R33 event is not just for remembering R33 (Paul Gardner), but for all players who we held dear to us, and have passed.

R33 wasnt just a good player, he was also a good friend and a terrific member of this community. I still find it hard to believe hes gone sometimes, and you can bet every year I try my hardest to get on and participate in the memorial services.
So it breaks my heart when I have to say unfortunatly due to circumstances here at home I will be unable to attend the memorial this year. The current computer im working off of here at home can barely support a game at all.
So what I will probably do, is either email my message to you Jack or to Pete so that way my voice is still heard there in the memorial. So if you could either yourself or Pete get with me via email so we can set something up?

Were hoping to hold the Memorial on Sat 22nd.
No time confirmed yet though.
And yes as said, the event is to remember all the people that had an effect on DS and have passed away.
Paul was the first we knew, and can safely say after all this time nobody who knew him misses him any less.
To the newer players, perhaps this will give some significance to the R33*8710 system, its not random, neither are the planet names, they all hold significance to a very valued member of this community.
We will update with a time for the service ASAP.
