I got bored earlier today, and decided that DarkSpace needs some more explodey boom.
I am sure many of you are well aware of the pitiful UGTO dreadnought explosion when compared with the extended ICC ones... but just to refresh your memory...

It may be short, it maybe sweet, but that baby sure isn't going to win any Oscars... When you die in an EAD, you want to die in style... You need time to savor and mourn the ships death... And so, after a few moments of tweakz0rz, I ended up with a new, pimped EAD explosion...

That's a lot better. I like the way the explosions move along the hull, makes it seem like there's something actually causing it instead of just "Hull 0, ship explodes".

Just make sure to add the sound of groaning metal as it rips apart with the dieing screams of thousands of people.
Oh and also, just to nitpick at it, I like how the explosion moves up the ship, however it might be better if the explosions were more randomized for a more natural looking explosion.
But god, when I saw it explode all down the ship and then one huge explosion... I need new pants.

Can it be set That the explosion starts from the front OR back, Depending on which side is more damaged?

Actually it does make more sense.
One example is in BSG:
SERIES 3 SPOILERS
When the Pegasus explodes you see small explosions working their way up the front until they get to the engines, then the whole thing goes up. There's plenty of videos on YouTube of it, but most have swearing in the comments.
