as you all know, EvE has a damn good Corporation and Alliance system in place. we could take a page out of their book and insert the alliance system in the game. and here is a suggestion: cross-faction alliances? will fleets from different factions be able to alliance? and will they be able to share tech because of the alliance? will the alliance make them exempt from the enemy planet's defense if the other fleet in the alliance owns that planet? so much possibilities...and i think cross faction alliances would be good, properly made and without as many exploits as possible. the only people able to initiate an alliance would be the Fleet Administrators. for example: fleet admin of X fleet sent alliance request and a small message to Y fleet admin. Y fleet admin accepts, sending a message back to X fleet admin.
EDIT: another thought...we could have mutiple fleet alliances.

This doesn't fit in with DarkSpace at all. We won't be doing cross-faction alliances for the foreseeable future.

so, i can forget cross faction alliances. what about same faction alliances? are they even a remote possibillity?

Forgive me if I'm wrong (and I'm not), but aren't factions already an alliance of 'corperations/fleets', working together?

perhaps he ment certain fleets being able to share an /alliance (/al) chatter? or even a forum? or (etc)

Speaking of things of this matter, Faction Forums need to be fixed.
Several ICC fleets cant access the ICC faction post, as well as several UGTO and K'luth fleets who cannot access their own respective faction's forums..

the faction allience may be good if one faction gains too much power and a temp alliance is needed, this is a open suggestion moke changes on it if you like
