Well its always boring to find planets that only got 10 pop or 40 and so on.
Why not make certan priority things on a planet. Like that it always prioity food and habitats. So that we dont need these problems. And maybe when its under siege it will priority barracks/defence etc. ???

supposed to take care of your own planet? i mean..a planet with population got its basic needs, and that is food etc. so why not make it so that the planet will priority those needs first. Its very logical if u think of it...i personaly think its very strange that the game dont have bether ways of managing planets.

@Fattierob (x2 Ships-Of-Line) i will try to explain a litle bether.

When ppl bomb a planet or it gest the plauge, the planet will decrease in population. Then it usaly get all messed up. Population will support the defence base or the power etc.
It will not suport the food for the planet, and when it dont get its food supported it wont grow back to its original state.
As evryone know its instinct to get food, thats life, thats how evryone is. So a planet should do this on its own without having players to fix it. So therefore i suggest to get those foods/domes to be priorty number 1 at the planet. Making the availble workers to support those first.

No. I have no idea how the internal script works, but it supports whatever comes first in the building list, from my own personal expierences

ie:
hub, dome dome dome, food, food, gen

if theirs only 3 workers, the 3 domes will be lit up, the others won't work (lack of workers). If you want the 3 workers to work on food, you need to PAUSE produciton on the domes, then wait about 10 seconds for the planet to updateitself, then the 3 workers will be on food food gen. Then it should be fine.

Like somebody else said, manage the planet yourself, don't let the AI do it for you.

Well. Stealing ideas from Civ 4, Could there be buttons as on the planet to focus on a Particular part..

Focus On Research - Research +2
Focus On Military - -30 Seconds per Inf
Focus On Food/Habitat - Focuses workers on Maintaining food and Habitat.
Focus On Defence - Planet Def Bonus +5%? .. Also good if its just Been Neutroned, and There is some Pop left, just enough to Man the Defence Bases for a few minutes..

Although engaging these, [Only 1 at a Time] May Increase the Likelyhood of something bad happening.. Ie: Food/Habitat - Disease Occurs or Focus on Defence - Political Anarchy.

I will have a look to see what can be done about prioritizing power/population to different structure types. We can either do it two ways, as a per planet setting, or as a per structure setting. Which option we pursue will depend on how easy it will be to implement.

Please remember though that we do have much more important issues that need to be addressed before we can look into this area more fully.
