Hello, I'm thinking of signing up for this game. It sounds like the type of game I always thought about. I just have a few questions before I actually make up my mind about joining or not.
1) Do a good amount of people play it? I've looked at the servers and one said 23/100, 1/100, and the other two said 0/100. That's not exactly looking good right now. =/
2) Are the transport and scout ships necessary for a good fleet, or is it the "noob ship" that just gets blown up and are useless?

yes low player base but still fun
and transports were useful when planets defense didnt vaporize everyhing near it. Scouts are over powered and sometimes lame high ranking players use them because they dont die.

Hello Tcc, may name is Rogue Spear. I am the unofficial representative of Palestar. You are asking the same questions I asked when I was new, 5 incredible years ago.
When I subscribed I was alarmed to see the small number of players in the servers. I thought wow, this game cant be that great if so few people play it. I went into a server called Fleet Admiral to try it out. Little did I know that I was taking my first steps into one of the greatest gaming experiences I had ever had.
Yes, this game isnt easy for the new players, theres not a whole lot a new player can do against veteran players and their dreadnaughts, however if you stick to it you to can get one of your own soon enough. The beauty of having a community this small and tightknit is that you are not just a player here, you are a name, people will respect you, hate you, laugh at you, or fear you. That however is all up to you.
This game has been around for 6 years, you can go from one end of the internet to the other and not find a community as close and tightknit as this one, this game is truly 1 in a million, and well worth the investment.
