I went mining in admiral and newbie for about 4 million of my credits and for starports etc i just asked for someone to come into admiral/newbie and build one so i can sell the stuff for credit, all ya need to do is ask.
I got given 12 Million or so credits when i was killed by a friendly Ion strike... twice.. lol but ive given way about 3/4 million to newbies who asked me.
Credit system seems fine to me?

I got another point that could pretain to this thread. I dont know about you all, but with the admiral server i like the fact that each faction is limited in numbers to even out the players. i think the MV should be like this, maybe not for fleet members, but non-fleet affiliated players should be forced during log in to pick a faction with less players on.

I think this would give new, and old, players a better understanding of ALL factions and even out the numbers a bit. its tiresome when your on a faction you enjoy but seems to always be vacant.

...Just a thought...

I think at least one mod (whichever one is just camping the lobby anyway) should be logged into the newbie server at all times. It seems appropriate to have experienced, capable people in there just waiting for new players. I know I have done some bit of training to new players. They say in the lobby "How do you play this game" or something to that effect, and since I have nothing to do for an hour or so, I volunteer to go into the admiral server and train him/her in how to fight, build (if they get enough pres while we are in there), capture planets, upgrade/modify, and what to look out for (such as planet defs).

Such pro-active interaction with new players really helps to make them feel welcome to join in the fun and stay with the game. They see what they could do eventually in their first few days rather than spending that time trying to figure out what they CAN do now. It gets them excited to keep pushing their profiles up and so they stay. I dare say I think we need at least 1 Mod in the newbie server all the time, or at least for a few hours every day with public notices of what time that would be.

I wouldnt mind doing that sort of thing considering f2p is "too" limited.

What i did was i spent my time poking around admiral and grabbing an extractor when I get lucky enough to find a planet with a starport. Kinda boring, but hey if you want creds, work for it.
