Saw Darkspace as a featured download at fileplanet when it started beta testing many, many moons ago.

I came across the DS client on the MoA website ages ago, when looking for space games.

Work with Jolesman and knew Rattle$nakeGold for a while. They both been playing for a while. One day they forced me to play. End of story.

My brother told me about DS in 01, when he beta tested. He told me I would love it. I didnt download it for 2 years, and I dont remember why I actualy did. Oh and btw Area 51 blows. I would rather play a 24 hour solitaire marathon than 5 minuts on that piece of crap.

I heard from it in the early beta's, where you still had to pickup metals to give your ship enough rescources to build something
as far as memory serves me at this moment i found it on the front page of fileplanet.
loved it ever since and man the game still rules, where else can you command a big dreadnought and work as a fleet

I am one of the special ones to have bought the DarkSpace Disc and box from a GameStop outlet in the mall, way back in 2003 or 2004. I tried it, but my computer and internet just couldnt handle it. I paid for a month and got up to the gunboat I think. Then, I reluctantly let it go. Suddenly, I remembered it one day about 2 years ago when I had my new computer and cable modem. Been here ever since. And yes. It is as good as I remembered it.

I was looking for a space-themed kind of game, and I was browsing on www.download.com and there I've found the game, and tried it.
Never left it after then!
