Memorial will be held Saturday 17th March @ 9pm GMT in the R33 System.

A general request to the whole playerbase:

While this may mean little or nothing to some, or indeed most of you, Id just like to ask that you respect this gathering, so that we may honour our departed friend in peace. It is a very serious event for many of the older players of DS past and present.

If you do not wish to attend, then please respect the privacy of those that do, by not interfering. I hope that the staff, as in previous years, will be on hand to step in with anybody deliberately intending to cause mischief.

I look forward to seeing as many people as possible there to pay respects to Paul, his memory, and his legacy he left us.

These are mostly from OC Remix, the S3&K "Project Chaos" to be exact:
"Beneath The Ashes" - Hetcenus
"The Secluded Stronghold" Kanjika aka Johnathan Beil

A brief interlude of a song, "The Siege of Madrigal" by Martin O'Donnell should be somewhere on the 'net for free, legally. Also, "Unforgotten", "Epilogue", and "In Amber Clad", from Halo 2 by the same artist, are great pieces for this. I recently used the former two in a Veteran's Day memorial service at school, and people really liked them...

Not legals:
"47 Makes a Decision" - Jesper Kyd. Short and powerful fanfare.

"Heaven's Not Enough" - Yoko Kanno & Steve Conte. Song always gets me, and it's probably the only on this list with vocals.

"Call Me" - Yoko Kanno & Steve Conte(?). This is more of a lament over love that can be reclaimed, but then, it's more guitar oriented than the other stuff I've listed so I figured it's worth a look. And it's ridiculously beautiful.

"Collapse & Rescue", at least the last half of it, by Steve Jablonsky... but good luck finding it. I can send a copy if you're interested.

"Sleep", either version (choral and instrumental) - Eric Whitacre

All I can think of for now. If you want to hear any of them and can't find them... from various digital places... lemme know.

I mostly listen to/promote things most people have never heard of : /. You can get the first two from the Project Chaos link at http://s3k.ocremix.org/, along with the rest of the (incredible) soundtrack. It's all reworked from the original S3&K score, but it's amazing stuff. The rest, if you need, I'll find a way to send to you if you want to hear it.

A touch of Evanesence might be appropriate, but I will refrain from suggesting music to suit R33, as I never knew him. Ill respectfully leave it up to his friends to decide.

it will be really hard to listen to RnB while i play Darkspace. i am a rocker through and through. does Akon's 'Ghetto' work? that song i kinda like... but i am gonna listen to the old players that remember R33 on the music score.

You're correct, he did like RnB (uncertain to what extent) - not sure if he liked rock, or any music of that sort either.

Probably be best if you talk to someone who knew him better so you could select music to his liking in the video.

there are some really good soulful RnB music... remember RnB is not hip~hop or rap.... its Rythem and Blues... I got some stuff on my comp that may fit in... will lok them upandlisten to them... I am bound to find one or two that are appropriate.... Maybe an aria if thats not too bad...

I like Adagio for Strings (Composer: Samuel Barber). If you listen to it you will recognize it from the Original Homeworld musical score... I have the whole Homeworld usical Score on CD btw if needed.

I have a few songs I think would be nice for a video of a memorial..

Mainly instrumental, not Rock or RnB..
