I guess staff feedback is the place for this. you guys where taking suggestions for 484 a while back. a couple occurred to me the other day.

1) DS needs just ONE blackhole, which pulls ships in, then takes a jump to get away from after a certain distance. Make it so all ships near it appear Red (light bending). Probably not gonna happen in 484, but keep it on the back burner.

2) THIS IS THE BIG ONE: Make it so we CANNOT see the data for any planet we click. All enemy planets should show nothing more than a Faction Label unless we get a ship within say... 5000 GU of it. That way we can hide our Shipyard worlds. The enemies would have to scout each planet to know what we have on them. That makes sense on SOOOOooo many levels and would make this game so much more interesting.

heh how about ton of AI systems with 42 structured planets that cant be captured and AIs protect them

No planet info is a deffinate change, that will most likely get into DarkSpace at some period (maybe not 1.484, but it might be 1.4842). I think it's something that could make scouts useful, and actually make intel much more important than simply looking at a planet for the least defence for the SY planet.

The black hole idea, is most probably a no-no. There's no need for one, and it would add nothing to the game (zip, zilch, nada).

Blackhole - Doesn't really make sense seeing as how none of the systems in DS are more than 20 light years from Sol, as far as I've tested (I tested the 3 furthest, one in each direction). The nearest Black Hole is 1600 Light years from Sol. While I do think it would be cool to have a black hole in DS I fear that the programming required would be complex in some way, though through my own testing I think I may know a way to pull it off. But it's not something for the devs to spend time on right now since it doesn't fit in the MV and would require programming.

Planet one's been discussed.
