seriously tho, just because its not your computer, doesnt mean its darkspace. the reverse is also true.
its entirely plausable that there's some localized persistant issue between your isp and darkspace's isp. you might want to run a tracert to various places, give some of the tools at broadbandreports.com a go, take a look at internettrafficreport.com.
and then just because you dont suffer lag in other games, doesnt mean its not your computer.

Doran, you are the first person that actually tried to actually help me instead of just pawning off the problems on my hardware.... Can you possibly walk me through the process of finding out what the actual problem is?

Once again, for the people who don't know, this computer is the best I have ever had, and probably will ever have. I am poor. My family is poor. It is pretty much an insult when a game's staff's solution to whatever problem is "Go buy a better PC". Doran has been the only person that actually attempted to help me. As he has let me know, he is not really the person to deal with this kind of problem, if anyone else knows of anything or anyone who can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, it could be any number of problems. I assume you have checked for spyware. If you have a router, that could be it. I know routers have a nasty habit of causing trouble. Also, it could be the connection. You could have the best connection in the world, and it could still causes problems. Probably something to do on the ISPs end in that case. Might be a port problem also. Not really sure.

Yes, but that still doesn't explain why none of these problems started before the game was patched to .1482...

before 1.482,werent there fewer ships and weapons and such?if your computer had to draw up all that data,it would chug...BAD.

yeah, but you have to realize that that PC was the biggest POS ever. 4.87 gig hard drive, and a hamster could produce more processor speed. Right now I have a pretty sweet setup. And besides all of that, my brother has the same problems and he plays Eve on his machine. He was also an admin for DS, and he told me most of my problems are not by our fault.

One thing you have to remember is that not all staff members have the skills to help you trouble shoot some or all of your problems.

Well, IMO, I think they shouldn't try to help if they don't know and give crap for advice. but hey, who am I but a computer illiterate teenager...
