I have finally taken the time to measure time, distances, etc, and have for you all, the critical numbers. After I post all the numbers, I will point out intestering findings from the data. UGTO ship data ONLY!!! Tachyon Drives only, except where otherwise stated!
RCT = ReCharge Time (in Seconds)

--------------------- 10 ------ 3,818.6 ----- 110.1 ---------------- 34.7 --------------- 33.0
Dread ------------- 0 ------- 2,985.7 ----- 59.9 ---------------- 49.9 ---------------- 50.0
--------------------- 10 ------ 3,889.8 ----- 74.8 ---------------- 52.0 ---------------- 49.0
Transport --------- 0 ------- 2,831.5 ----- 99.7 ---------------- 28.4 ---------------- 29.0
--------------------- 10 ------- 3,818.6 ----- 124.8 -------------- 30.6 ---------------- 28.5
Engineer ---------- 0 ------- 2,971.5 ----- 150.0 --------------- 19.8 ---------------- 20.9
--------------------- 10 ------- 3,717.0 ----- 188.1 -------------- 19.8 ---------------- 19.9
Supply Ship = to Transport data.
Conclusions:
The GU/Sec goes up with level. That we all already knew.
Gu/Unit Fuel = Gas milage. That too increases with level, however much less so with HMAs than with Tachyon Drives.
Unit Fuel/Sec shows to remain constant regardless of level. This means that your fuel is still ticking down at the same rate during jump, no matter what level your JD is. The only difference is that you are covering a greater distance in that time with higher level drives.
Recharge Time actually suprised me. Tachyon Drives had a consistant DECREASE in recharge time with higher levels. HOWEVER, I see that HMAs recharge SLOWER with higher levels.
You can also see that most ships, with similar level Tachyon Drives should travel at nearly identical speeds, regardless of ship class. The variation less than 4%, or 100 GU/Sec.
Worm Hole II Device worm holes last 2 minutes and recharge in 5 minutes, regardless of level and ship class it is attached to.
I should note that I tested 2 different scout ships, and when they showed nearly identical results, I resorted to testing only 1 ship per class, assuming all others would be marginally similar.
I Tested these ships specifically:
Anti-Sensor Scout
Interceptor Frigate
Assault Destroyer
Torpedo Cruiser
Carrier Dreadnaught
Command Dreadnaught
Support Station
ST-7010 Engineer
Heavy Supply Ship
Heavy Transport
My data DID in-fact show that a Light Transport recharges faster than a Heavy Transport by a few seconds. Extractor remained untested.

Im UGTO. I dont have those readily available to start at lvl 0. upgrade to lvl 10 and then start over with a fresh one at lvl 0 again for the next ship class. you luthies will have to do your own research.

All you need is two, one at lvl0 & one at lvl10 and swap them out for each ship.

Wow... are you absolutely sure about the recharge time for WHIIs? I just look at the fact that when you upgrade a WHII on either a command dread OR a station the drive requires more charging...

well you were part right. recharge time in AMJDs is pretty well constant. UPGRADING tachyon drives recharges faster and NOT UPGRADING HMAs recharges faster. WHs remain completely uneffected.
