Recent reports from the Maurbon sector have came in, and they tell of a recent capture of a MI Dreadnought. the UGTO have dispatched Battle dreads to defend the ship from enemy capture and has also dispatched engineers and scientists to look over the vessel. future plans are to tow the Longhead to Maurbon shipyards to begin thorough examination.

"this is a big breakthrough for MIR reaserch. capturing this MIR dreadnought intact is a dream come true." comments scientist John Teger.

what will we learn about the MIR from this ship? we will know pretty soon.

Unfortunately for the UGTO, the ICC have already begun research on the Mir and their technologies, due to tech and ships left behind from repeated invasions of the Luyten system, which were eventually thwarted.

So far, ICC scientists and engineers have only just begun to understand the workings behind this new engine the ICC scientists dub the 'SE Drive'. Though not too much is understood about it as of yet, it is known that this drive is far superior to any sublight engine of human or K'luth construction.

Interesting article - but, take into consideration that the news networks are not yet aware of the Mi, so referring to them directly is incongruous with the storyline.

The best current description for such a find, would be:

"An unidentified vessel, possibly of K'Luth origin".

It's certainly a good idea though. Keep posting.

Sure they are, Drafell. I mean, we've already fought several battles with the Mir, and they even broadcasted an invasion message to all factions...

The military are certainly aware that Mi exists. However, the news is being kept from the general population.

Information like the cature of Mir vessels would be kept to secure military channels, not broadcast on pulbic networks. Both the UGTO and ICC are following a similar polcy on this, as the knowledge going public would cause severe disruption to both factions, and even a possibly breakdown in governmental control.

The K'Luth already know of Mi and have a lot more information about it than any other faction, but are not disclosing any of this information to the UGTO or ICC.

The most information the public get would be something similar to the DA News article I just posted as an example.

If you want to give information about the successful capture of ships or technologies relating to Mi, then you are better off framing them as some form of secure transmission, as opposed to a news bulletin.

If the articles have a good enough content/format, and are consistent with the "official" information, they may well get added or moved to the UT forum.

I am simply trying to help and promote this.
