The whole world is a total village. Let us imagine one moment that this village is composed of 100 inhabitants, there would be:

- 59 Asian
- 14 African
- 14 American
- 13 Europeans

There would be also 51 women, and 49 men.
We would count 50 children of less than 15 years.

20 people (only of the men), will have 80% of the village and its richnesses. 1 woman only will have her own ground.

Between 5 and 6 women would have undergone a rape.

42 people would never drink water.

50 people would live with the centre even small village, 50 others would be scattered in the neighbourhoods.

33 inhabitants would live a situation of war, of which 23 would be women.

5 men and 1 woman would be soldiers, police officers.

5 children would work under conditions of slavery and 1 small girl would be employed of house without being remunerated.

60 people could read, write and count. 40 would be men.

50 inhabitants could have access to the care of health.

8 people would have access to a computer, including 6 connected to a network of the type Internet.

1 person would be regarded as rich person, i.e. will own more richnesses than necessary to appease its own needs and those of its family. She only had with her 50% of the village and her richnesses.

80 people would have a religion, of which 40 would be forced to practise it (under the constraint or from the habit), and 20 others would not practise it. Moreover, 5 people would practise it in spite of risks for their survival.

The library of the village would be accessible only to 24 people, the others would be prohibited. The cinema would be visited each week by 1 person, always the same one.

Electricity would be cut approximately 50% of time, for lack of means. 30 people would waste 90% of the natural resources and energy village.

5 people would have already left on holiday. We think that 10 people on the whole would do it within 5 years.

Etc, etc... The figures can be thus spread out over pages and pages. Sometimes they make it possible to give in prospect each one for us on our planet, and to measure what we are, us them human.

It's quite surprising... I didn't expect that many people to never drink water at all... :/

And how many of those people would be going around the village, collecting stats like this?

How is it even possible, considering you can only live a few days without water.

I dont think this proves that we leave a lot of people out in the cold, so much as proves that we have too many people... if we cant even feed or provide water for half of them, then we shouldnt have made half of them... Its a simple as that...

Much of the situation can easily be solved by people realizing they shouldn't have kids until/unless they can afford to, and do so in a safe environment.

But, as Mr. Einstein so deftly put it: "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

Whaddya gonna do?
