The basic plot behind this little thing...

Latley, there have been alot more dueling than there has been since the days of the Ol' Dueling ladders. Im very pleased by this, it gives abit more to the game. I've been thinking of hosting something like this, ever since alot of the name calling,insults, and just angry talk have started up again..This could be a very effective way to get out all your aggression,eh?
I'd hope for this to be an All Day kind of event, something to give everyone a great time, and a few good memories..
The Map

I Will be working on a map for my own, but I'd like to see a few other submissions by you guys, that way we can change up maps every now and then. It will have two of each Faction, and a mod planet featuring two of each factions technology. This map will be hosted on a player ran server, that way prestige loss will not be a problem. There will be a neutral Faction also, for spectators..The person hosting server will remove their weapons and armor manually, safety reasons. There will be a designated combat zone, also.
The Different Tournament Types

Destroyers
Yes, Destroyers. In this Tournament, only Destroyers will be used. The two fighting at the time, will have the freedom to choose which ever faction they want and the Destroyer classes. Modding will be decided on by the player themselves. They can use whichever resources they have at hand. All destroyers are different from each other, giving everyone an equal advantage. Now..Some of you have probably said "What about Pickets/Escorts?" right? Well, they will only be allowed in a duel if both sides agree on it. This means that if they both agree, one can use an Escort/Picket and the other one doesn't have to, or they both can use Escort/Pickets, it'd be the fighters decision.
Cruisers
In this Tournament, Only Cruisers will be used. The two fighting at the time have the freedom to choose which ever faction the want, but must agree on the Cruiser Classes they use.* (Assault Cruiser Vs. Torpedo Cruiser, Battle Cruiser Vs. Heavy Cruiser,etc.) Modding will be decided on by the player, they can use what ever resources they have at hand. Each faction's cruiser has different advantages and disadvantages. It'll be a fair fight using the same classes..
*K'luth can use the Scale while fighting the Assault Classes(AC and TC) and while fighting the Battle Class(BC and TC), this is due to scale having lesser armor. The Scarab will be used to fight the Missile Cruisers, though.
Dreadnoughts
In This Tournament, Only Dreadnoughts will be used. The Two fighting at the time have the freedom to choose which faction they want, but must agree on the Dreadnought Classes. (Battle Dread Vs. Combat Dread, Battle Dread Vs. Mandible, etc.) Modding will be decided by the player, and what resources they have to their disposal. Each Factions Dreadnought has it's advantages, and disadvantages also. The players, if using the Elite class Dreadnoughts (Assault Dreadnought, Elite Assault Dreadnought, or Siphon), have the decision to allow use of Core Weapons or not.
Team Battles
In This Tournament, Teams of Two will fight each other. The Two Teams will have the freedom to choose which faction that they and their partners will use. The two teams must decide on a ship class to use (Destroyers and Above). They do not need to decide on classes though, it'll give abit more strategy. Pick a friend, or pick someone you think is a very experienced fighter!
Rules- These aren't dead set, they will probably change.

1. ALL fights will be to the death.
2. Jumping will be allowed, but only to regain your Bearing (This means no 6k out. 1.5k and below are allowed.)
3. There will be no insults towards a player. Alittle smack talk (Decent Smack Talk at that) will be allowed.
4.There is the choice to go Unmodded, but this will be the players own choice. The Enemy can still be modded.
6. No Dictors, Bombers, or Supplies.
5.Have Some bloody fun =)
{Edit}- The Date has not been set, will be decided on a later time, and if enough people join.
