Hi all,

Up till a few days ago, I could click on the forum button on the client and it will load up the DS forum, and I could then go into my clan forum. However, this is now not possible as it always comes up with

"You do not have permission to access this private forum" (not exact words but the meaning is clear).

The solution is I have to go open a new browser window, sign in and then I can access the clan forum. THEN it would work in the DS client too.

I'm just wondering if this is a client issue or cache with IE. Is there a separate cache that the client keeps for accessing webpages or it caching all done by IE and clearing my cache on the outside (again) will solve?

Thanks in advance for reading and any assistance.

Regards,
Nimitz.

Delete your cookies and temp internet files, that should fix it.

@Fir3ton3:

No, don't have the login button.

@Backslash:

Edit: Ok, seems to have worked for one day and now it's back to its old ways again of not login in me to the boards. I've deleted all the cookies and temp files, and I cannot see anything else that might be stopping the authentication from occuring.

I haven't updated windows and hence IE recently, so I don't think it's because of a recent patch. Also tried with firewall on and off and no joy.

It's definitely something to do with authenticating through the client as if I login externally through a browser window, it will work properly inside the client.

Cheers,
Nimitz
