that was the same question i got when i lookt at it.
latest thing i got here is a
MSI K8N Master2-FAR
2 AMD Athlon64 X2 4400+ (2.2 GHz)
2 2gb modules and
2 XFX 7800GT Extreme
borrowed it becous i needed the raw GPU power for a project.
becous my own workstation only got one Quadro FX 2000.

FX-57 is faster than dual core
Plus, it hasn't really taken off yet, no developers fully support duel cores. Since if a game doesn't support it, it just swaps onto a single core, which is slower than a FX-57, also not to forget that the FX-57 is the single most powerfull CPU on the planet at moment of writing (except for the FX-59, but that's in final testing phases, you didn't hear it from me though). I also have a 3500+ somewhere here too (Venus core). But, my mobo is 939 pin, so at a later date I can swap over to dual core if I really wish .
God I love AMD.

your getting an entire new computer EXCEPT the PSU.... i mean get a new PSU as well while your at it to prevent these things

i updated my graphics card to a radeon x850xt.
im told thats good or something, i can run halflife 2 at full graphics settings without lag.
