Hey NAX, thats great that ship will be check, but im woundering, for the legal frendly fire, it will be permited. But , will it make us lose press or gain ??

We cannot disable prestige loss for FF, however we feel that the amount anyone does lose to death or FF will be negligible.
This is the main reason why we recommend the creation of a clone account for anyone who nay be concerned about such loss.
Just to make it clear: Although Friendly Fire will be legal for these events, the Staff will NOT be compensating any prestige loss/deaths as a result.

That FF thing isn't going to be a huge problem when people spend most of their time in jump...
Make it more fun! Add hazards in the course!

I'd be more than happy to help you out, Supertrooper. Being the person of great sarcasm and wit that I am (as well as being incredibly bored), I could use something to put my comments of pain to good use. Helping you out seems like a wondrous idea (plus, you really aren't a bad person... so... yeah).
And, since I'm not going to be participating in this event (with the latency issues I have, I'd be two minutes behind the second-to-last person)... I want to know what's going to happen to the MetaVerse during this time. Will normal game-play be allowed to continue as normal, even in the systems that the extractors will be racing in? As long as we leave the racing extractors alone, will it be all right? Or, will we be confined to other systems entirely for the duration of the races? Or, more drastically, will we not be allowed into the MV until it is over?

People will be able to watch ond observe, but anyone interferring in the race will get removed from the server(just like someone in Indy Car racing running onto the track). Also, for this reason (and to avoid accidental interference) we ask that no aggressive activities take place anywhere in the systems along the race route.
Play in the rest of the MV will be unaffected during these events.
There may also be roles for those who do not wish to race, but wish to help out in some form.
Anyone interested should contact me via PM - we do not wish to exclude anyone from participating.

Cool. I like this. I'm in once if figure out what a clone account is? Took me forever to figure out what the heck emote was. I wish myself luck, and much friendly fire to the opponent. Do we get dinged for friendly fire?

Another question:
If you lose your extractor during one of the rounds, are you out entirely that round, or do you have a chance to restart the race in a new extractor?
I ask that because, if everyone dies... then there's not really a winner... and you may not want to reward the "Last Person Standing". So, if people lose their extractors, they can get new ones, return to the original start location, and give it another go.
That'd make it more interesting. Not likely that the people who die and restart will win... but... you never know!
Of course, if the "you die, you're out" policy is followed... then... well...... crackers to the people who lose their extractors first.

Might I suggest that you put an interdictor next to one or two jumpgates, and surround those said jumpgates with navigational hazards? Asteroids, for example, which the players will have to manuever through.
