yea well if thers a planet under bobmer attack then wen u jump in the bombers just jump out but what to do if this happens then jsut put dicotr building on planet adn enemy cant jump out

unless of course the dictor is mirved off or the population is neutroned so much that the planet doesnt have enough pop for the dictor and power, or no pop at all and it revolts instantly

I'd roll it back, you have no idea how fast I'd rollback.
I know remember exactly where DS started going downhill.
And bad part, it's entirely possible to do this. *shrug*

still anyone thinking i was wrong that people wanted a roll back?
for my part do it, take the game back to what it's supposed to be: a simple space combat game that needs a bit of teamwork and maby some strategy.
ofcourse it's good to be ambitious while coding but should remember to keep your feet on the ground and keep it at a level that's easy to control, meaning take awaythe "fancy" stuff like arcs and upgrading and different kinds of armor, maby even the sy's and wh's(don't know about the last two, they've been there as long as i know:))
what else....ah yes, the part about modding. it's ok to to have specific slots for beams, cannons, etc. this would certainly keep the PD and EDin it's role but don't tweak the CL damage, maby it would lead to overpowered CL PD's and ED's instead.
but then again, who needs a pd boat these days, the ships were designed to help bombers do their run but they simply need no help at all. so just remove ED and PD and get rid of the problem, and then you could tweak beam damage.
but remeber that weapontype specific slots do have the problem that people might not like the weponslayout and whine about them. for example i really don't like standard layout of the assultcruiser, it has too many beams. thinking about a roll back, i only had the possibilty to see ugto ships in last patch so don't know what icc had then, maby they were liked by some.
