I'm sick and tired of trying to rebuild systems only to have them nuked again and again. ICARUS nukes every UGTO system they can every day, as does FS on ICC. IT HAS GOT TO STOP. The pickett dessies and escort dessies need to be removed from the game immediately. They cause way to much trouble for all concerned. I have decided to take a break from DS for a while, at least until I know that a code fix is being worked on. It seems to me that the devs aren't even letting us know what is going on, what is and isn't being worked on, or giving us any kind of a time frame as to when any balance will be restored to the game. Without any kind of feedback from them, I simply cannot continue to play this game. I poured a heck of a lot of time into it in the past, and will not continue to pay to play a game which I no longer enjoy. I wish you all well, and someone please let me know when a code update is released, my email is public.

Everyone Nukes. It's not just ICARUS. I was just the bomber for the re-take of BS today. We had a Siphon, Piercer, Ultimate Worker, and a couple of other ships there as well. 1, 2, 3, ... 6 That's a fleet (and not just ICARUS). Correct me if I'm wrong but this is how the game was intended to be played. An organized fleet attack.

I MIRV UGTO planets because if I neut them, UGTO just MIRVs them back anyways. I'd rather not give that prestige to someone else. ICARUS in general is also very big on building. Smartin and I have over 4k construction and Rattle$nakeGold is like 70th over all! Our planets are always MIRV'd by the next day. That's just the way the game goes right now.

I agree about the EDs and also the Pickets AND that something has to be done about being able to MIRV planets so easy. As I've posted before, I think every faction should be able to build shields on planets. Something needs to be done and there is absolutely no real kind of updates being sent out to us.

I get target yelled at by a couple people when I am out bombing. Telling me to stop and whatnot. If you can target me and talk to me, why aren't you over here trying to defend your planets?? Seriously, "Please stop mister". Come over here and fight! Most of the time that's what I'm trying to stir up, but if no one is going to defend the planets I'm going to Nuke them. I'd be crazy not to.

Another question I've been pondering. Why are the UGTO mirving Sirius, when the ICC owned SOL? I'd be fighting the enemies in my backyard before I go after the ones around the block.

OH yeah, speak against Mirvs but use em anyways, very catchy.

Indeed, that UGTO mirv their own planets sounds something like Kluth do everytime we neut them.

And also, why Kluth or ICC feel compelled to bomb BS or Sol every single damn day is beyond me; instead of actually going out to fight it seems that all they want to do is bomb bomb bomb - and rather than start at the fringes (where they can hold it), they just go for those core systems, so its no wonder the UGTO goes off and nukes Sirius or CD for retribution.

Honestly - all this nuking has really taken away from the combat aspect of the game. You don't HAVE to nuke an enemy factions core systems every day, you dont HAVE to go out of your way to level every planet, cause it just means more crap like this happens.

We all know there are plenty of issues to be addressed, eg. bombing, 'inventive' ship modifying, etc...

Which is why some stop playing, others take a break and wait for that update(!), and the rest play anyway.

Yes, I do use nuke's on planets, even when retaking our own at times. I nuke poorly built planets that way I dont LOSE pres from having to scrap the stuff off of them. At present, I spend about 80% of my time on DS either recapping our core systems, or trying to rebuild our core systems. There is no reason for our systems to be nuked twice a day, which is exactly what has been happening. If the luth and ICC dont stop with the nuking, i'll be glad to show them what nuking is, even if it means my having to take a couple weeks vacation from work, and spending 18 hrs a day doing nothing but NUKING their systems. And believe me, if I did start a major nuking campaign, I would have plenty of help. It also seems that the ICC and Luth never really target each other now, they just flat out target the UGTO planets and ships and ignore each other most of the time. What happened to 3 way battles? For the last few weeks it has been UGTO vs what appears to be an ICC/Luth alliance. I have seen VERY FEW ICC/LUTH ships fighting each other even when they are both in the same area.....they all just target UGTO and ignore each other.
And as for "trying to stir up a fight" well, if you would actually let us get a few systems built back up to where we can spawn/mod ships properly we will gladly give you a fight....as for now, all we have time to do is to try to rebuild what is nuked. So, if you want ship/ship battles.....stop nuking our systems.

I got so tired of the bombing...the useless building...it was ridiculas.

Then I rediscovered the Admiral server!

Who cares if you bomb it? It gets wiped every few hours anyways on reset.

Scenarios change as they do in Newbie. I really wish there were more scenarios, and I would find it personally pleasing to see one of Nicea. IMHO, it was by far the finest piece of mapworking that has been done in at least two versions. It was also perfectly setup to have 3 way battles as well...

The lag in admiral seems to me to be so much less. I dunno why. I will say this; my combat ability has gone from frustating fits of stop and go and death (in the MV) to a periodic half second pause when there are 1000 missles and fighters buzzing about. This in and of itself has actually brought back fun to DS for me. I always sucked at it, but I love the combat.

Anywho, if you are getting burned out in the MV, step into the Admiral Server for a spell.

But watch out for my Assault Corvette

well ent the we just don't bomb bs and sol, we take over everything in our path, and well we combat every day for about 2-3 hours after that we still have about 9 ships on and wanting to do something so hense we form and go bomb if sol or bs comes in our paths so be it. but ya know was it not 2 months ago when i first started when the cd system was bombed and taken over by ugto almost daily, now its sols turn

there is no alliance with luth and the icc in fact that nuke our systems daily too we chase them out though and rebuild. reason why we never fight kluth is well, there targeting ugto for there daily leveling of there home system.. its kinda fair right? but as far as bombing goes i will *try* to cut back some, but even then i would habe all this free time in ds, with no ships to kill

but no7117 feel free to level out systems, most of the icc doesn't mind rebuilding in fact i enjoy it..

Those nine in combat are all EDs, gg on that. Also, why bomb UGTO? Why not K'luth? I havent seen an ICC attack on K'luth since I was ICC.

Uh, you mean what ever is in your WH's path right? I mean..I have screenshots of your "tactic" of WH bombing..but hey, no way ICC exploits this version.

Uh, there, that was because ICC had constantly invaded UGTO, untill faustus reset the MV for the new map, then UGTO took revenge..

Just bring CL's and AD's back up to full strength, fix kluth cloak bug's (stess is on the 's) and increase planet defense and everyone will start crying about planets killing them...lol...=)

Were all sick of it and were doing what we can to even out the game so YOU "UGTO" thats all of you little "BABIES" "that only the ones like the person with this post" that just hjave to cry because your not winning... We Defend our planets... our space and yes WE do bomb for the reasions as to be you jump in fight for the time you JD kicks in and run then log. You all complain about our EDs and as me and ENT have come to the conclusion and like everyone else knows there sheilds are overpowered for the ship, so in that aspect Iv gotten alot off ICC and FS members to not use them but wait you still have something else to complane about....

Heres the bottom line Were here to fight.. you dont fight the game is also to bomb.. and build... and well HAVE FUN.

So when you come back no71171 i hope you like the game better but Please stop complaning about every little thing in the game and just play.....

heh, i agrre that pickets and ED's need to me removed, i also agree that we need some feedback form the dev crew, i do agree that the icc/luth always hit the ugto and I would like to add the most abundent way the icc/luth attack ugto is with a dictor. Maybe a dessy will start it but almost as soon as a dessy engages something bigger, a dictor appears and wipes u out. I mean i have died 4 times today due to a dictor ambush so im down to 1 modded ship, and even then im iffy to go into combat anymore. If u guys want fights, leave the dictors for the planets, or simply get rid of dictor ships.
