Wow this post has a life of its own.
I see that the MV is down to 32 ppl again, people must have used up their 2 week free trial coupns.
The MV is a heck of lot more enjoyable with 50-60 ppl on. I've got some other things going on so I can't blame me not playing soley on this though.
Perhaps DS can be changed to a dating service. Hot ladies looking for smart nerdy types play for free  .

all i know is that 14 days just isn't going to cut it. if the billing cycle is monthly then the free trial should be for one billing cycle. due to the fact that this game isn't very newbie friendly, you might retain a few subscribers if they actually had time to become competent to the point the game is enjoyable

Think of it this way..Most normal MMOs have a week free trial, or a five day free trial, witch is alot less than what DS offers. The free trial now, is actualy one of the better things for new players, with only a week or five days (as a normal game would allow) they wouldnt have time to learn how to turn..The learning curve is now abit to much, but it will be toned down in the future..

back in the day vets tutored newbies......
that said, it is possible to learn the game by yourself with only minimal guidance, and as a midshipman no less. if it takes you longer than 14 days, so be it, dont sweat it

for all you people who want a free DS.
SUCK IT UP AND ACCEPT IT.
Faustus made a great game whit almost no support.
no EA or other firm to back him up. (tank god).
when i came to this game i liked it instantly.
and i stil do. even if it has been over a year that i played as a paying player.
i stil like it, and above that i stil play it even as a Demo.
why becous other games of EA, Atari or MS; just bore me out in two three weeks.
DS is one of those little Strategy games that you can definetly call "REAL TIME"
so what do we want, we want it all, otherwise we wont be human.
but what is there in the background to darkspace that keeps it running?
servers, or payback loans, and maby coders.
those things cost $lots$, so what is the best way to make you pay?
just trough out a box version whit unlimited access.
just watch all those other games there CD protection and cd-keys are cracked in just a coupple of days.
so even i think monthly pay is the best.
give faustus his wel earnth monney to keep the DS servers running, keep him coding for impuvments, and keep his family alive and healty.
so i say to all you people who want a free DS.
go and suck a lollypop and F# off to some other game.
(p.s. im sorry for the bad in english, and madd at these people.)

i know for 99% it wont help. but stil for that 1% that reads it the might understand it and stop posting.
that atleast wil be one more person willing to play this game, instead of turning in to a EA / MS game loving freak

nobody said a thing about the game, it's creator, moneygrubbing publishers, or any other topic you went on your wild turet's syndrome rant about. and yeah i know i always forget how to spell when i'm "madd" at things that aren't even related to the subject
