Uhh.. Read subject? When trying to install it, it says that. I've restarted, and made sure the RPC services were activated, still no luck.

... Sigh. Idiot am I. All the RPC services were functioning and available, but apparently a new service introduced by SP2, which I was not familiar with, must have caused the problem.
Apparently the service is the: NT LM Security Support Provider. It is new to SP2. But, in case this happens in the future... I had to enable this service in order to install DS.
Edit: This service... Provides security to remote procedure call (RPC) programs that use transports other than named pipes. So.. Yes. By the way, the free play time brought me back.
