Looking at theat early MV map and then looking to mine it was scary how close my map was to the on there. The one i'm speaking of is the Actual 1.480 Metaverse Map Layout.

I am kinda (Not so very much) surprized no-one bothered to contact me about it...oh well.

Quite frankly, All you have to do is take the map concept back down to Phase one, the Red numbers, and work from there as the population increases (Which it likely will if things work out). Works out better for PR, etc etc. Something Palestar needs work on.

Anyways, like I said, do whatever ya think is best for DS.

Also, I have more then the map stuff saved...

im performing a little thread necromancy and WHing this from ~beyond the grave~

i find it interesting that after Two Weeks(tm) we are now living (some sembalance of) this, which is proof that over at palstar THINGS DO GET DONE , this is further evidenced by the flood of updates coming down the shoot.

also if you read any part of this thread i think that drafell's second post on page three is a good place to start

finaly a quote from said post i felt like sharing with everyone

Remember that the game is supposed to be designed more around teamplay than solo play.

Wow, necro indeed. And apparently i'm not the only one trolling the deep dept of the beta forums.

But we do indeed aim to design the game around teamplay.
Only problem so far i have noticed. People like to compare all ships like they where designed for 1 v/s 1 PvP.
Well there not! people say ships suck and don't fly them, but that is not because the ships suck, its people's attitude about thinking there a one man war machine.

But enough rant. lets see what other topic you necro'd.

I've thought for years that the mv is far too big. If anything, the scenario server should teach us that constricting people to a smaller area makes for lots of fun. Scenario seems to have a much more stable population - you always know there'll be someone there to fight. Why is that not true for the mv?

I think a size reduction would go a long way to making that a reality, and would also help the goal of a single mv.

Well coming from the MV the small size has now made the one server everyone plays in vary......boring. Why? Because then you fight over and over and over the same stupid planets again, and again, and again. This is why the big MV was so nice, you had room to grow and room to do massive conquering sprees with fleets. With the return of more players now this kind of idea that the original MV was set up for can become an reality again. I really want to see the merging of all the servers to one show up in the next update or 5. Reason I want this done is because we are losing players (icc specifically) over the sheer boredom that happens in Sag. None of the other factions have moved into the other servers and started attacking there. Only ICC has done this and Kluth (when FTL was Kluth) has ever had the balls to attack another server (recently). At the vary least can we get Cinci back for the UGTO?
