Its not a real demo, theres 100's of these going around. What it is is a CGI demo, to demonstrate what PS3 'CAN' do and what games on it 'CAN' look like. Its exactly the same for the Killzone 2 'REAL INGAME FOOTAGE' video.
Sad really  , would be nice if that really was going to come out on PS3 .

He didn't say it was a real demo. He said tech demo, which is exactly what it is. I was just talking to the manager of a local gamestop though, and think about it... why put so many man-hours into something so vividly true to the original? They could easily demonstrate the awesome power of the PS3 with something OTHER than FFVII.
Yet they do it. And so precisely. Hmmmm.
If you ask me, I smell a remake.

FFVII remake? Hell I wish, FF7 + Newer Graphics + Ever cooler gameplay = Ownt.
However, I do doubt strongly they will remake FF7, on the basis of directly the game itself, as we all know about FF7-2, and how its so very different from how FF7 origionally was.

There was going to be a 3 part FF7.
Before FF7, was another game (it was only released in Japan, so Europe and US didnt get to see it).
FF7 (the game)
After FF7 - The film, advent children.
Although, this was a plan originated from years ago, from the trailers of the film, it seems as though its just going to be FF7 in film version.
I really hope that they remake FF7 with better graphics, hell, its something i've been wanting since the original came out, I even went to buy the PC version because it was suposidly better graphics (marginaly).

It's highly UNLIKELY they will ever remake it. It's only a tech demo, what would be possible with available technology on PS3, NOT any upcoming intro movie.
Square Enix has denied it in many different places, and they most likely WONT remake it cuz the original version still works on PS consoles, so there wouldn't be any actually good reason to start remaking such a big game.
It would sell alot, yes but it's squares own decision will they make it or not..

uhhh FF VII is coming out again on ps2. except its called FF VII : The Dirge of Ceribus. its centered around that vampire guy Vincent , and i believe its set 2-3 years after the events in the original game. as for that tech demo im betting thats footage from the FF VII movie of the same name that they are coming out with.

FFVII: DOC isnt the remake.... its completely another game.... it doesnt have the storyline of FFVII.. Two different things.
Also Advent Children has nothing to do with the remake.
