I dunno who pissed in your cornflakes daim but you might wanna think of switching to fruit loops 'cause you seem a bit loopy.... never had anything but benefits in 482 and 483 from the graphics pack. Its easier on the FPS and the eyes, save the Psi Cannon - which is just easier on the FPS.

Really?! IMPROVED graphics will be LESS laggy than the standard issue graphics? How can that be so. Make a good case for this and I'll upgrade this Friday when I have the time.

It just does. I realy dont know the mechanics of it, but it makes the game run smoother. Not like it requires a beast of a machine..

alright.... I'll trust Jack to have my back on this one. I'll give it a DL on Friday or sometime I have a while to mess with it.

Anyone know if the changes are undo-able, in the event my computer just flips out when presented with them?

I am admittedly curious why the pack can not be decompiled to extract the art. Or are there more legal than technical reasons for this.

In the resourcer, you compile the art into wob packs, which are encoded files that Medusa can read. You can't backwards-engineer them and open them to find the art, and even if you could, it'd be the raw files which Medusa uses - nothing which the resourcer, or any imaging program can open.

The only exception to this is the textures I think, and even then, in the extraction process they lose some data, and are broken. There's an old texture pack that Barthezzz made a long time ago from extracted wob files, and they're pretty much all blue (even the K'luth textures, and some are just completely broken).

@Kanman, to undo them, simply hit update in the lobby. It'll undo ALL the changes.

Made a few changes to the pack itself. A few of you might notice a difference in trail smoothness, and the star field being a bit more prominent.

I also made an install pack, just for ease of use. Those who had the old pack installed, and did the doupdate=0 thing can just download the EXE pack and install it. No other changes needed.

I haven't updated the ZIP file yet with the changes, so you'll have to use the EXE for now. If you're paranoid about safety, just extract them to a directory on your desktop to see the files.
