That sucker is, from my knowledge, an ICC ship from pre-Palestar Darkspace. Way back when Blue Byte existed and owned the Battle Isle franchise, DS was to be the lates BI game, but Ubi bought BB, and decided that DS was too different from the other Battle Isle games and scrapped it. Our good man Faustus later bought the rights. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he was on the original team. If you want to see more interesting old ships, look around for the old (and not coming back, it's been discussed) UGTO Carrier. The beauty had wings.

here i am, to correct you (better, to precise "things") and give you further knowledge...

hear it, and report it to the kingdom, so thy will know truth

FAUSTUS was, is, and allways will be, the "owner" of DS, the brain who created it, the (lead)programmer who has "written" it

He needed a Publisher, that was our beloved BlueByte *RIP*
After the "unholy" act of buying BB, UBI decided to "trash" DS - there are a lot of different "puplic" reasons told to us - lastly it dont matter, it ended with a Faustus "stranded" with his beauty DS

That was the "birth" of PALESTAR, the re-birth of DS, and one of the proudest moments of my life

All was transfered to faustus, and - btw. - the BBGC (BlueByteGameChannel) is programmed by faustus and sold to "them"

and true, this pic is from the very beginning of it

yes loosing BlueByte was bad ... it was excelent company ... one of rare good developers ... UBI killed them ... most of games produced in UBI era from BB is not so good as original BB production ...

for DarkSpace it was hard to recover ... but see ... DarkSpace lives and beta shows promise to gets much stronger than anytime before ...

Found the Closed Beta Lobby when I was trying to play Settlers 3 online (which was good, unlike Settlers 4 which is Ubi Soft era)
