Privateering badge... interesting.
Now, a new badge means new ships... ships designed to capture other ships!
Maybe in the far, far future...

Well if you are going to have a Privateer Badge with the Skull and Crossbones. I have the perfect Patch/Badge for the job. It is the same Patch as the VF-84 F-14 Squadron. I have it as a Sig but you could drop the lower portion (Fatal Squadron) and use the rest as the badge. Just use a Metalic Colored Border (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to denote the level to which a person has been awarded.
But isn't Privateering capturing a ship and getting what is in the ships hold? Wouldn't it be great to get some items from the enemy's hold once you snag his ship? Never know what you might find in there...

I don't like it at all. In the very least, I don't think it should be an added requirement to ships i've ALREADY earned the rights to fly. If you want to give out as a trophy to whoever sets out to get it, fine, but it should end there. I think that if a privateer requirement were added for ships that are already in use, then that would probably be my last subscription.
Just my 2 cents.
